I've had little chocolate things covered in edible silver stuff, and those foam shrimps (at a seaside themed wedding!) when I've been a guest.
Other ideas I've seen are mini cupcakes in little boxes, or an organza bag full of Haribo or similar old school pick and mix-type sweets."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -

I've been considering these, being Welsh & all.
Can I be cheeky & ask how much you paid & where you got them?0 -

Im Welsh too, but marrying a Scotsman in Scotland, so thought it would be a nice way to bring a bit of my nationality into it!
I ordered them from 'i do wedding favours' - google it, they're based in Swansea.
We order 50 and they were a pound each, plus 36p for ribbon & gift tag. They arrived yesterday, about a week after we ordered themand they are GORGEOUS!

Ha ha, the owl was on a long string, it was so cute though. We had a bird of prey display as well when our photos were being taken so the guests had something to do when me and oh went to get our pics done.!!0 -

Honey Rose and Noin might nick your ideas lol
Was thinking about having a retro sweet table for people to help themselves but OH thought it would go nuts, so then thought about the old fashioned sweetie bags we used to get and wondered about printing them but putting them in a jam jar sounds fabMarried the love of my life on 28th April 2011 :T

We are having an Easter Monday wedding, so my wonderful Grandad has agreed to make 75 wooden egg cups, probably with small metal spoons with wooden handles, for us to give as favours, along with either a chocolate egg with a name iced on somehow, or a handmade eggshell candle.First date 10.2.2002

Hiya,
For the kids at our wedding I have put together an 'activity book' filled with personalised wordsearches, mazes and stuff of the likes. Unique in the way that the answers to the crossword are people and dates associated with the wedding. I will be hole punching this and stringing ribbon through in the same colour as the bridesmaids. I have also ordered online (googling party favour toys) mini pencils and felt tips etc plus from ebay I have ordered mini white paper bags and will be printing a label with the childs name on it for each person, plus a couple of blanks for grown up kids lol
All in all I think it has cost £20 for 15 kids but will keep them amused during the speeches etcWedding, CC and Loan by May2012 Target - £35 a dayStarting 21/01/11 Total so far added to savings - £2316.15 (£82 a day) :j#1280 sealed pot - £58.57 £11k in 2011 - £981.10/£11,0000 -
I love the eggshell candles, Emz118 - they are soo cute!Married My Best Friend & Soulmate on 21st July 11! So happy to be Mrs Kyle!:heart2:0

Sorry haven`t been in touch sooner.
Thank you all for your input, it seems as though favours are still in fashion just more modern these days - big change from my first wedding where we had those little rings with doves on, many moons ago.
All your ideas sound great and I have lots of ideas to put forward to the bride.
Thanks again.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.
