I got ikea candle holders http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20146073 40p each and have painted the flowers on them the same colour as the bridesmaids dresses - we were going to need tea-light holders anyway, so just made sure there's enough for one each and tell people to take them home! They'll last longer than almonds. Unless you're the sort that just keeps the almonds.:heart2: Give blood. :female: Use a mooncup.
But ensure the two are not connected!0 -
I got married in a scottish castle (comlongon) we had an owl deliver rings in a bag, so i did a little pewter owl for the womens favours with red choc hearts from thorntons, and for the men mini sporran keyrings and gold choc hearts from thorntons.
i love the idea of having owl deliver your rings was you not scared it would fly away with them think i would have been. we are going to ask the vicar if our dog can deliver the rings but not sure if he is a dog man lol. but your idea sounds great i bet the guest are still talking about it xxMarried the man of my dreams 27/08/20110 -
We made sloe vodka to give to our guests in little 'poison bottles' (clear 50ml corked bottles!) We're having 7 tables named after 7 Disney characters. As an added extra to give out at the evening reception, we're having personalised rock made up- had to really, as we met at the seaside! x0

The whole owl thing is very very very cool!
We're having mini eggs as the financee is an egg farmer.
Table names are going to be agricultural shows we've been to together. (One reason why we're marrying each other, its both our idea of a day out!)0 -
I gave mini bottles of wine at my wedding, soaked off the labels and replaced them with ones saying the date of the wedding etc. I got the labels quite cheap from ebay but they would be easy to print yourself. The bottles of wine were quite cheap from home bargains, about 60p each i think so it's quite a cheap but effective option. I gave love heart sweets to the children.0
