I get the idea of what you're trying to do with this... mainly because I do a similar thing on my website http://www.flirt-divert.com/flirt80876.htm Except my one doesn't charge them 50p a min... that's extortionate, even if you don't like them! :rotfl:

Quite agree, clearly its a complicated issue and if its not for you its not for you. It is Free, hence Freebie Section. Plus why would someone who won Post of the month suddenly start spouting SPAM.

and for all those who say "why give out your number in the first place" well what about those online forms which have "* required information" which means if you don't enter some kind of valid number then the form won't be sent anyway

Yep, some companys don't get the message even when you click NO to being contacted - would serve the persistent ones right lol

This post was VERY HELPFUL thank you. i could certainly do with one of those. My bank for example, i can deal with my own banking thanks very much but they insist on calling to 'see how i'm doing' every week. I've asked to be removed from this call list with no sucess, so if i gave them one of these numbers i could filter out all of the rubbish.

i dont care if there is a cheaper version available because it is FREE to me. and if you did not post the thread in the first place stop being horrible about it. because it is helpful and free.

Does anyone know of one that does 50p a minute with revenue sharing? I know a few years ago there were some that shared revenue with you at half of around 35p a minute but i understand this was stopped. anyone know for sure?

just been coldcalled by an health assurance company, asking if I know anybody terminally ill etc, said I had a one in three chance of getting cancer. absolutley disgusting sales tactics. how they got my number I havent a clue, but I will definately use a fake number with any freebies or comps from now on.

If the call is going to come to your own phone anyway, then it doesn't really matter whether they've got your real number or a fake one. If I don't want someone to have my number it's cos I don't want them to call me - on any number!
