Avon, Betterware, Kleeneze? Any others?

Hi

Been reading the forums for a few months now, and now looking for ways to increase my income. I was made redundant in September and have managed to get a part-time job in a pub, but no full-time job yet.

I need something with no big outlay, and I can't do parties as I work evenings (change week to week, can't get set hours), so I'm thinking of a brochure type job.

All the companys I can find are Avon, Betterware, Kleeneze. There must be more but I can't find them!

Any others I'm missing? They have to be brochure drops (don't think Vie at home does those, only parties)

Thanks

If you can't find any others, chances no-one else knows about them and there may be few potential customers.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
  • Betterware are recruiting at the moment. My girlfriend does Avon and makes a fair bit

Long list of work from home jobs including some catalogue ones. See www.comparextraincome.com

If you've any money issues at all, any , I wouldn't go near Kleeneze, it costs a lot of money ongoing , aside that what it takes to sign up. I did it for 11 months and never made more than peanuts when all the figures are done. Thye promise much but 9 out of ten give it up.

I'm very big on researching :) I have searched and read non-bias reviews on their products and the business as a whole :) I have also tried and tested some of their products and the quality of them are brilliant and they work :) I have also looked at their website time and time again for my own personal interest regarding their recycling, the work they do and love their cooking recipes - brilliant :)
The people involved with Wikaniko who I have been in contact with since seem genuinely lovely, like-minded people full of inspirational tips and not once have they ever tried to talk me into joining - a really nice refreshing change :)
This has been my experience so far - so from someone who is not involved and yet has had some really nice experiences so far I think I can recommend them from what I have found :)

  • But liking what they do and *actually* earning money at a decent level is another thing entirely.

I did Kleeneze and worked hard , followed the plan , did all the right things but still ended up our of pocket,I followed all the advice and did all the things those people had done that *had* earnt good money. But when I did it I didn't have the luck they had , and thats the key - LUCK. And for me thats the thing you just don't need especially nowadays when folk are looking for more income with redundancies and rising prices. If someone gets a job and they work XX amount of hours they get £XX and thats that. With many of these catalogue/Selling franchises there is no guaranteed income just the hope that someone might buy and you might recruit someone.

I for one find it heartbreaking to think people are joining catalogue companies in the hope of making money only to end up losing out , especially as so many are up against real hardship to come.

Thats why it is so important to find a sponsor who is honest at the beginning and doesn't say "oh no problem you will earn £xxxx in the first few weeks". They need to find out what teh prospect wants from network marketing and just be honest with the person. So many sponsors seem to have the idea of getting them in and hopefully they'll see the bigger picture, that is NOT fair on the sponsor or the new recruit.

I personally see no point in someone who needs an income immediately and struggles to pay the start up fee to do network marketing , they need to be able to reinvest back into the Business whether its replacing brochures or personal development or team building. The best way is to be able to see 6-9 months down the line when you have built a customer base, those first 6-9 months (could be less could be longer depending on may factors) realistically will be earning and reinvesting.
Brochures do work and you can build a really rewarding customer base but theres no ifs or buts it does take time, effort and perseverance.
We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!
  • Hi

I work for Wikaniko so perhaps I can answer a few queries here. No, you cannot make good money fast, no decent direct selling business will do that . What I can say about Wianiko is this:

Excellent rates of commission (33% and over)
great merchandise - I am a greenie through and through, I also have sensative skin and other health probelms. Since using the Wikaniko stuff for laundry, cleaning and body care (soaps etc) my skin problems have gone. I now buy all of my household and beauty stuff from Wikaniko. I used to buy shampoos etc from the body shop cos supposed to be more ethical and less chemicals - but body shop stuff was still giving me skin problems.
    Products are affordable
Great company ethics - they walk the walk, not just talk the talk.

No I havent made stacks of money (Yet),I have been with them about 5 months, but I am building up a steady customer base and I actaully save money becoming a distributor (less than £50 to start) as I get that back and more through buying wholesale for myself all year. Like I said, I only use their toiletries and household products now.

I'm not going to put any web links up or anything cos I know how strict you are on here (quite rightly) but I felt as one who is already doing wikaniko I should say something. :p
