Hmm, a few weeks ago I would have said very much that it depended on height but then someone sent me one and I was surprised by how much I liked it - I'm only 5'2.

i think it depends if you are apple shaped or pear shaped, pears look much better in everything, even if they are big. im an apple and most things look awful on me

The big reduction suggests it might not have been a good seller....!

A lot will depend on whether the body length is right for you with this one I think.

Have you got a decent strapless bra already?
Can you order it online and collect instore so you don't have to pay delivery?

I'd be tempted to try it and see for a tenner. Be brave!

Last summer on holiday I saw a fellow guest wearing one like this. She was in her forties and probably a pretty generous size 14, so she was probably breaking all the "rules" ............it was strapless in black too and she actually carried it off really well and she looked very chic and stylish.
  • Nope. A garment like that would only look good on a 17 year-old stick insect. And then only for about five minutes, if that.

A jumpsuit is going to look really, REALLY old hat before it needs its first wash.

There are an awful lot of reduced jumpsuits around, makes me think they probably don't look that great on.I prefer this one out of the ones on the House of Fraser website:http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Therapy+Sparkle+one+shoulder+jumpsuit/144464077,default,pd.html

I think you would look better than that model in it! Having said that, I wouldn't go for a strapless one, I think you would need something at the top to balance you out. ;)

After looking at the pic I would advise you not to buy it, although I really like it I think the tapered legs would make you look middle/top heavy as would the bandeau top and I dont think the waist detail would do you any favours, I'm the same height as you and used to be a size 16 and wouldnt of bought this when I was that size, also if you took a chance because of the price and it looked dreadful you would of paid to p*** yourself off and I'm sure if you look around you can find lots of styles that are more flattering to you - happy shopping:)
Thank you for this site Martin

Yes, I think size 16 would be too big for a jumpsuit, if you do decide to go ahead I would choose a tighter fitting one rather than too floaty and also not one that ties around the middle:)

You seem to have the impression that a size 16 must look like a bag of potatoes!
