Very simple question, I am currently insured through esure, but I would like to take advantage of the my renewal through Quidco. I realiase I have to stop my insruance but whats the mechanism to do that, a simple phone call. Obviously I don;t want to be uninsured. renewal due the 16th dec. And yes I've checked - used a few insurance "getter" websites and it looks like Esure is still cheaper for me than the others - although the aa is close, its still £10 more expensive.
Help, and sorry for obvious question.
thanks in anticipation

I have gone to Lloyds for a Car quote, through Quidco and whilst £40 more, the c/b gives me £80 profit. I have the quote stored. At what stage does it track now. How do I go back....presumably through Quidco again for it to register.O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us.

portchieboy I'm always a bit concerned about going back to a stored quote through quidco. I always start again from scratch when time comes to buy. It won't track until you've actually spent the money!
Re buildings & contents cover - just renewed these for my mum - did separately as I did contents then realised she had just renewed buildings at extortianate amount, once I saw that I cancelled (fortunately only 1 monthly payment made) and did via quidco.
2 policies, both through Lloyds, both tracked within 24 hours, £240 cash back. Combined premiums of........ £130!!!!!!!! So, thank you Lloyds for doing this free of charge & giving us money back :j :j :j :j :j :j .
Just renewed car insurance but too dear on all quidco bar 1 - Zurich £60 dearer than existing but with £80 cash back. Decided it wasn't worth the hassles so phoned existing & they matched it!!!! So another indirect quidco success!!!!!
I really do think quidco is superb (would be even superber if they could resolve my Barclays query!!!!!)A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

You don't need to do anything to 'stop the insurance' if you want it to run its entire course. Presumably it will be an annual policy and if you fail to renew it will automatically expire on the 16th Dec (unless you've given consent for continuous payments via credit card.)
If you are worried about it, a phone call to your current insurers wouldn't do any harm to put your mind at rest.
Then renew via Quidco (make sure you clean cookies first to prevent any problems with the transaction tracking.)

Don't know..... hope so....... . I assume these are all totally automated systems so noone sits & looks at the transactions.......

Has anyone tried calling Insurers direct and asking them to discount their online quote by the cashback amount? It certainly worked for me when i took out a new phone contract. The £30 cashback i could have got through Topcasback, was sent to me as a cheque, much quicker than the cashback fron TCB takes. Has anyone tried this through insurance companies?0

Both Barclays and LLoyds TSB have tracked so fingers crossed! If both pay out my Home Insurance will come to a grand total of £34!
Just to update - Both companies did pay out the full amounts even though one of the cashback amounts was more than the actual policy.:j
