I'm just back from Leicester....i got there at 9.20am and there was a fair bit left, but i only got 3 things (toys for a baby). I thought that alot of stuff wasn't worth the price even after 75% sale, so i was disappointed.

Just got back from Parkgate Shopping, very civilised, one lady even offered me a dressing gown that wouldn't fit her dgd but I'd said would fit mine! Not a lot left by the time I left the store but loads of the Strictly make up sets, they weren't popular at all were they?

I know I've used those before together..even tried it with a total spend voucher....sometimes it depends on the SA but generally smiling sweetly and asking them "could you try it please?" works. Good luck

Aww I wish now that I had used my double points voucher this morning as I got quite a lot of stuff. Nevertheless I was very pleased with my purchases, they had loads of stuff in my local and there was just a few of us filling up our baskets. I really didn't think this sale would go ahead with all the comments saying it wouldn't this year. Glad it did !!!:T

I went to a large store near reading at 9 - there were loads of xmas cards + wrapping paper, lots of gift sets, make up sets, big £45 make up boxes, mugs and chocolate... No toys though
I did manage to spend £30 on glitter babes sets, always good for the nieces! and various bits and bobs.
Not worth the effort in mho...

Just entered this number into the 'Say No to0870' website and came up with this number:

    0115 918 2000

Spoke to a (most apologetic) lady, who - unfortunately - could only confirm that the site was still being updated and that she could not say when it would be 'up & running' again. :(

    HTH someone

At least she was telling the truth and didn't fob you of with it will be up in an hour like a few people have got this morning.

  • Went to the Inverness Eastgate store, very quiet, quite a lot there. Plenty of strictly, Fern, Gok, sweets, mugs, and Xmas stuff. Some toys, got a barbie digital camera for £12 from over £50, there was Ben 10 watches, Thomas gift sets and transformers too.

  • Just got back from store in Oxford and I can't believe website is still down. Was just going to check on a couple of things I didnt get. Well........After all the hype on here and hearing about people not having slept, I went to my first 75% sale with quite some trepidation. Arrived at the store and the doors had just opened. I made my way to the sale shelves and there was hardly anyone there. I was filling my big blue bag and there was one lady with a trolley buying a lots of childrens stuff, toys etc. Only a handful of other customers and they seemed to be checking out the shelves and making considered purchases. No pushing and shoving and all very civilized. Only 3 staff on tills but that was fine as there was no queuing. I still feel slightly in shock as I was convinced I was going to be in a rugby scrum and would leave saying to myself "I dont need any of it that much. " Got a few nice things so I'm very happy!!
