  • Hi
Just got back from visiting 3 stores, Boots Broadmead Bristol, Boots Avonmeads & small Boots in Hartcliffe (opposite Morrisons Store) not to bad in Broadmead and only 4 of us waiting, that store opened at 8:00am, then legged it to Avonmeads (opened at 9:00am) and loads more stuff at Avonmeads, if anyone is interested the small boots by morrisons have about 10 of the £20 sanctuary sets left (now £5) and they have no 75% signs up (sales assistant said they were not told of 75% sale) so if you are close pop up there and get them (I only bought two) I thought there was not much I wanted but managed to spend £100 and just added it up and I have £400 worth of stuff, all of the toys are 75% (I seem to remember someone saying they were still 50% off last year) and all the childrens pyjamas, dressing gowns, slippers etc are also 75% off (even though it says half price on the label)........I am so done with the website and nxt year will just have a good nights sleep and head to the shops, I would say best stocked shop is Avonmeads (only about 8 people there at 9:00am and it was all very civilised and people were helping each other out by pointing where certain things were, so nice and friendly there) lots of toys at avonmeads as well, so in my personal opinion Avonmeads is the best place to go, dont bother with big boots at Hartcliffe way (nothing in there) and if you can go to the small boots by morrisons (if you want sanctury sets) hope this helps and thank you all for a very tiring but fun night, it wouldnt have been the same without you all..........see you next year???? :j:T:rotfl::A:j:T:rotfl::A Sue xx

if i remember correctly didnt boots have this problem last year and they pulled it, must be costing them having the site down.

Yes they did and it was very hit and miss if you could get an order through the year before that. I find the log in/accounts and check out part of the boots website very slow all year round. It is putting me off ordering from them because it took me about 20 minutes to check an order out in the summer.
  • I have just got back from Meadowhall where there was a rugby scrum - couldn't get near the shelves for people sweeping off anything in sight. Kind SA had a cage of Strictly cases which she was offering as people passed, didn't really go into get one of those but but took one as felt rude not to and paid with points.I usually go to Sheffield town centre and certainly wish I had done so but someone in the queue told me very little there so perhaps it is just saying to me don't do the 75% sale again - you can't hack it anymore......

I went to Meadowhall last year and it was shocking, people sweeping armfuls off shelves and getting kids/husbands to guard the blue bags full of stuff whilst they went back for more. Sheffield you should be ashamed of yourself lol. Most of the people I saw had to be buying for ebay.
It put me off ever going back there for a 75% off sale, which is why I am sitting at home waiting for Boots online to get its act together.
Please God, help me stop spending!
