    I have Kindle 3 with 3G, love it, not heavy at all, can't believe how easy it is to find free books either, so now I've always got something to read. :)

    While Kindle doesn't read epub format, it does read mobi.
    Calibre is worth its weight in code, you should download this straight away if you use a kindle or any other EReader for that matter.
    As for amazon deleting books?, you can always back up any book to your harddrive and wifi can be switched off as required.
