Helloooooo,
Well thats another payday come and gone - 29 days till DFD now. Oooooohhh its coming down soooo quickly. I think I worked it out at 914 days!!! LOL :rotfl:
So that isnt that long away - is it?!
I received a cheque for £40 today for some extra work I have done so must pop it into the bank tomorrow. I can then use it to pay extra to CC :T
Paid off OH on Friday so I am delighted with that. Only 3 debts now, 2 loans , 1 evil cc.
Car filled up, lunch made for tomorrow, fridge full and am happy.

Good morning hun!
What a great time for you (in a weird eing in debt but getting out of it sense!). Pay days are so looked forward to and then they go in an instant don't the.
Congrats on having 1 debt less - that is inspiring
When you are DF what are your plans? Will you just save the cash or will you have an initial treat?

CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)
Loan 1 £1787
Loan 2 £1683

Hey DF,
Hope you are having a great day
Ooooooohhhh how I dream of what I will do when I am debt free!! lol!!
Firstly I would really really like to treat my OH to a trip to Australia. I reckon once debt free I should have £1000 free per month so that shouldnt take too long to save up for.
I am 30 aswell so i am also 50/50 at the moment about whether I want children. I dont with this debt hanging over me as TBH I couldnt afford to go on maternity leave without questions being asked by my OH!!! Therefore that is another reason why I am determined to beat this debt this time and I have minimal time to do so.
How about yourself? Whats your first plan when you are DF?

Hi Garfield & DF - Just wanted to say well done to both of you. First for acknowledging the amount of debt & then for taking responsibility. It will be a hard slog at times but I've been there & worn the Tshirt! You will achieve your goals & once you are debt free you will never want to be in that situation again. I only wish there had been a site like this when I was in deep SH*t, but I did manage to get out & could never ever go back. My little mantra now is 'it may only be a pound - but its MY pound'
Go Girls!!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Nice plan Garfield
I will have about the same left a moth as you. I'm aiming to go to the caribbean for my 45th, which will give me 4 years to save up for it after my DFD. I'll take the 2 youngest, and I want it to be a deluxe once in a lifetime holiday. I've waited this long, so whats a few more years
. Should have a nice load of savings by then too :T LBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

Hi Garfield, just found your diary and had a quick skim through.
I can totally sympathise with you not telling OH. I hid my secret from DH for over 2 years . I was naughty though as some of this did affect him as our joint account kept going overdrawn
. It all ended up getting too much before Christmas I was always anxious when the phone rang and I was always in a rush to get to the post before him and it all came out on the 12th December.
If you ever need anyone to talk to you know ive been in a similar situation before. I am so not proud of it and the thing is I was trying to put food on the table for him and our children and one thing after another ended up in £20k worth of debt!!
Well done on how far youve come

Hi Everyone,
Thank you all very much for all the positive replies. Sorry I havent been about much I just have been so busy this last week!
Well its 21 days till payday!
On the plus side I have my holidays coming up in about 6 weeks
Nothing planned yet but I hope to save up a little and maybe go away for a couple of nights. I have about £60-£70 in t*sco vouchers so I need to have a look at the rewards to see what I can change them for and make it a MSE holiday :T LBM - JUNE 2010 - [STRIKE]£27,108[/STRIKE] £23,682 (as at 1st Apr 11)

899 days from tomorrow and I will be debt free
Okay it seems ages away but when I started this journey it was well over 1000 days so it is coming down quick as it only feels like yesterday since I started my mission.
I've been busy over the weekend trying to work out ways I can use my tesco vouchers. It turns out that I have enough to take the bus to wherever I decide to go, go to a zoo, visit pizza express or maybe bella italia, orange wednesday at the cinema plus maybe a visit to a museum :T Looking good! All this for approx £18 of vouchers plus cinema money etc. All i need to do now is find somewhere cheap to stay. Travelodge are doing £19 rooms at the moment but just need to find one. The hunt is on for a MSE holiday...........
How was everyones weekends?
