There was a thread a good few months ago on this very subject. Someone I think was going to have it done but I don't recall seeing an update from her.

I remain rather cynical about it!

My friend had this done a couple of weeks ago and her brows dont look any different to when she has her normal waxing and they sold her an eyebrow pencil with a slanted brush on the end for £15:eek: I would recommened finding a good threader and sticking with that, no plucking!
Thank you for this site Martin

I have been getting the HD Brows treatment since Feb and have converted so many people to the joy of HD. I went for another one today and got the sad news that it is unlikely that my brows will ever recover :-( so it is pretty pointless aiming for thick luscious brows and I will have to make the most of what I have. On the plus side this means it will be cheaper for me as I will get a tint and shape and I get the skills of a fantastic beautician who can shape them to the best of her ability given the rubbish materials she has to work with.

I've been having HD brows done for the last 3 or 4 months. I've got an arch now that I didn't know I had, but last time I went I felt she made them a bit too thin. I think I'll stop going soon and dye them at home (this makes a big difference) and try to shape them at home, keeping the arch but hopefully making them a bit thicker and more natural looking.

ETA - I resisted the sales pitch for the pencil and brow gel. I figured if I needed them I'd get them from Boots for a fraction of the price!

For those who have over tweezered - I got to trial some stuff called Rapid Lash and I used it on my brows and eyelashes. It does work, though took about 8 weeks on my eyelashes before I saw a real differences and then people kept asking if Id had extensions. Downside is once you stop using it the eyelashes revert to normal length as they fall out and regrow in a natural cycle. BUT, point I was making was for the first time since gawd knows when, I did get eyebrow hair growing - albeit coming through grey/white :( and it hasnt disappeared after I stopped using the stuff. In fact I had them tinted for the first time last week to match in the grey/white hair and it is nice to have real brows rather than penicilling in the gappy bits. Fingers crossed they continue to grow and I have bought a refil of the stuff just to use for my eyebrows now and then. Worth a go if you dont mind parting with £40 on boots or about half that on ebay.

Ive seen some truly awful, "Coco the Clown" results from the tatooing of brows, wouldnt do it myself!

I use the stuff that HD brows recommend but bought it much cheaper from ebay. It is usually around £30 and I had growth very quickly but unfortunately not in the one patch that I needed it. I have now started using it on my lashes and fingers xed I have big fluttery ones in no time and will concentrate on just using it on the patch on my brows where I need the growth http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LASH-ESSENCE-MAX2-/150621526087?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Make_Up_Cosmetics_Eyeliner_PP&hash=item2311be1847

I think I was quite lucky. I don't think my brows were too overplucked and I gave them a couple of months to grow before I had my first HD treatment. One was pretty much sorted the first time I went and she's just been adjusting the other to make a better arch a little bit each time I go.

have had them threaded today. quite pleased with the shape although there are some gaps due to overplucking. might try the lash grow stuff and also plan to have them tinted at some point too. on the whole much better than when i plucked them myself.

Thanks for posting this OP, I'd never heard about this until seeing this thread.
After reading all the posts, I'm going to give it a go. I really hate my eyebrows and although I'm not sure if they are going to be able to achieve amazing results, I would pay the money just to have some one show me how to correctly pencil them in so that they look better during the day. I have a Lancome eyebrow pencil that I've been using for the past couple of years, I bought it after having a consultation at a makeup counter, and I think it's too reddy for my colouring (I'm light brown/dark blonde) so if I'm happy with the results would probably but their products too, god I bet I'm their ideal customer already, lol :o

Anyway, I'm booked in tomorrow night at 7.30pm, so will let everyone know how it goes :)
