HD brows - anyone had it?

As per the title, has anyone had an HD brows treatment?
I have been wanting this done for a few months but there isn't anyone near me who does it. Closest is around £30 return on train or 1 hour in the car and having to go for a patch test and then the treatment was too much to make it worthwhile.
But someone is starting to do it much closer to me and I am so excited. I have quite fair brows that were plucked to oblivion as a teen and never quite recovered so are patchy and need pencilled in daily which is a pain. I have tinted them in the past but the shape is so bad committing them to dye made it even worse.
http://www.hd-brows.co.uk/before--afters I could have celeb brows and look groomed rather than dragged through a hedge :T
So, I am looking for good and bad stories from people who have had it done. I haven't seen any independent reviews online.

What do they do exactly? And how much does it cost? It doesn't say on the website

Sorry no additional info but its very interesting, I saw Katie Price on her show training in this but I'm still not clear what they actually do:huh:, is it just shaping? how do they fill in the gaps? how long does it last? and how much does it cost? The site doesn't really explain much does it? but the brows look excellent and I would have mine done in a shot except the nearest one to me is 24 miles away:rotfl:thanks for the thread ali-t I'll be watching with interest:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Bit of googling and - http://www.nailrooms.co.uk/eyebrows/index.shtml
"HD brows treatment includes Tinting, Waxing, Tweezing, Threading, Fresh mineral make-up and eyebrow Pencil, to create a fabulous defined eyebrow shape."
Looks like pretty standard stuff- my beautician waxes and tweezes my brows for me every 6 weeks or so and last time she also tinted them - couldn't really see much difference with that so I won't bother again but my brows are quite dark anyway.
I use a MAC eyebrow pencil and I've used powder shadow on them in the past so the use of mineral makeup sounds a more " fashionable" update.
Nice marketing idea for basically a full eyebrow make over plan.0 -
It is basically a total brow makeover involving a number of techniques as someone has listed above and can turn straggly, patchy, skinny brows into thicker, groomed face framing brows. I believe it costs around £30 and will need done monthly so not very MSE but I am hoping that once I get a good shape it will change my life (joke!).If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

Hmmm, I've just discovered threading which was really effective and they used wax and pencil to fill in gaps, when I had mine waxed they too used tweezers and pencil, so I think your right Amanita it seems like a rehash but the brows look good to me, dd just had a look and wasn't impressed said we get just as good a result with the threading:)
Also I tint my own eyebrows and get excellent results but when I had it done in a salon the results were barely noticeable and gone in about 10 days, I noticed she left the mixture on for a lot less time then I do so it could be that.Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
£30? once a month, thats me out then, the threading cost me £15 and I thought that was expensive:rotfl:Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

From some of the write ups I see of it you are advised to not wash off the residue of the tint until the next day so it lasts longer. I am really excited about changing the shape as years of destruction have made mine embarrassingIf you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -

LOL - well I think it is going to depend on how good the therapist is at shaping!
If you like the effect though you should be able to maintain it at home or at least lengthen the time between appointments. I think you'll still have to use the daily pencil to fill in any gaps.
Have you looked at semi permanent makeup? There was a thread on here not so long ago about it.0 -

I have mine threaded once a month at 7 a go. Or £14 for thread and tint. Not had a tint yet as my brows are fair and im scared of them going too dark.
I wouldn't pay £30 for the same thing ( I pencil my own brows to define them):smileyheaSAHM to my 4 beautiful children and wife:smileyhea0
