LOL - well I think it is going to depend on how good the therapist is at shaping!

If you like the effect though you should be able to maintain it at home or at least lengthen the time between appointments. I think you'll still have to use the daily pencil to fill in any gaps.

Have you looked at semi permanent makeup? There was a thread on here not so long ago about it.

I had the semi permanant makeup done some years ago although I thought it looked nice at first I didnt like the way it faded, it lasted about 2 years and I couldnt wait for it togo, I looked like I had orange brows for a few months:eek: the shape was good though, I also had a very natural lip liner which was nice but nothing special and now I am better at make up I can actually do more for myself at home and again, it dosnt come cheap.

15.00 omg mine a bargan at 3,50 at a local asian clothes shop run by young mum .

I know! When I lived in London there was a local asian shop that did it for £5 and she had people lining up outside, I was into plucking then so didnt go but now I live in the sticks I have to travel to the nearest large town but this week its my mission to hunt down someone local or at least nearer and cheaper.

My wife some time back (check the old thread) https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/40858900#Comment_40858900 had semi permanent makeup by a lady called Heidi Worman, she was excellent, still really pleased with the result, she has a good reputation.

I have had it done it cost me £20 and was well worht the money I highly recommend it and would never go back to home plucking! It takes about 30 minutes she tinted, waxed, trimmed, threaded, plucked them and they look amazing! only £20 which I think is really reasonable as near me it cost £15 jsut for a wax!

Sorry I press submit too quikcly I would say though that this isnt a miracle cure I left my to grow befroe I went so she could follow my natural shape but if there is not a lot there there isnt a lot they can do she said for me it would take about 4 sessions until they sit naturally (they give you a brush to brush them into the correct shape which she shows you too) and after 5 treatments the 6th is free... getting married in December and want my eyebrows to be in tip top shape as they really do frame your face!!!

VICSH, it costs £30 where I live but there is no-one else for miles so I guess people will pay it.

Well I had the treatment yesterday and like VICSH said it isn't a miracle cure for crap brows, more like rehab. the brow stylist said it could take up to a year for them to be perfect as they can't magic hair out of no-where but she was great with the makeup and it looked like I had more hair than I do.

I think it is something I am going to persevere with as I hope the longer term result will be worth it. I am not keen on tinting my brows as they tend to change colour as the month goes on so aren't very consistent so will look into having them tattooed on when I get them in perfect shape.

having inquired about HD brows I just wondered if it was worth the extra money it costs. A normal tint and shape is £11 and the HD brow is £25. I have been growing my brows for a while but they aren't a good shape and understand to get a good shape may take upto a year. Am not sure I can justify the extra for HD. Have always done them at home but now i'm getting older they are beginning to lose colour and wanted to traet myself for a change. :)

I have been curious about this too.

There is quite a good discussion (argument?!) on this forum which is for beauty therapists and it gives a bit of interesting background as to what realistically might and might not be achievable!

my brows are in terrible shape through overplucking and don't want to waste money. has anyone had both done to compare the two? what did they think from their viewpoint.
