Just throwing this out there!
Centre parcs holiday sites have fairly good security and all vehicles in the centre need to have the number of the villa the vehicle's owners are staying in. This is normally written on a sticker and always stuck to the rear of the rear view mirror.
I've only bought three cars at auction and they always had the numbers etc. written on the windscreen in crayon.0 -

Centre Parcs in 2010 had appalling security with gaps in fencing, over 300 bikes stolen, buggy thefts and thefts from villas. Google Centre Parcs and Security for the DM articles. The man without a signature.0 -
Ah right. To be fair, I doubt the OP gives two hoots about centre parcs security, just where the sticker on the back of his rear view mirror came from.
Worrying all the same, my norco's coming with me this year in Feb and it's worth a bomb. I'll take it in the villa with me!0 -
Wouldn't buy my car from a auction, good luck with it in 6 months when it starts throwing black smoke out the tail and over heats
LOL0 -
Where does it say it was bought from an auction? If bought from a dealer than it will be the dealer's problem to sort out whether the dealer originally got it from an auction or not.0

Where do you think most car dealers buy their cars?
I'd never buy a car from a dealer either unless it was brand new.
Private sale is best, in my option as I have seen and heard many garages being rather cheeky selling cars with "Not roadworthy" written on the invoice, which they are not allowed to be doing anymore, when the chap says it's a lovely runner with 10 months MOT' - what a joke!!!!0 -
Even prestige dealers buy there cars at auction if they need a particular model. There really is no stigma, even if this particular car did come from auction, which I very much doubt, it's not an issue.
Anyone in doubt should take a look at BCA or similar on a nearly new low mileage day.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

I was going to say the same thing - either that, or car ferries often have the same thing, they give you a sticker to tell you which part of the car deck to park in. Could well be something totally innocuous like this, a car ferry, campsite or holiday company sticker that's just been left on there.0
