Helen - all good thoughts for you.

I'm inspired - just off for another HHC now - but may be a 20MC depending on how long my decluttered veggies take to roast!

    What they said.

    *************

Parts for broken oven arrived this morning. Just got to hope useless engineer shows up on Monday.

Ordered course book for OU studies starting next week. They still haven't allocated tutorials. Oh well, it's not as if people use the OU because they have lives which make dropping everything to travel across the country for tutorials at zero notice difficult, is it?

Went on a garden centre trip today. Think The Bloke may actually build the raised beds in the next 2 months (fingers crossed). Got 2 ivies, 2 primroses (no cowslips though) and some garlic.

Hopefully should be able to order a front garden gate and get him to fit that and a little fence, next week - not that I actually mind small children being encouraged by their parents to walk along my garden wall, but I am certain one of them is going to fall off and break their leg soon. And then I bet I have an irate Dad demanding compensation for their child's injuries. :(

I considered contacting the primary school down my road they are going to, but thought it might sound mean if they say 'the lady in number 50 says get off her garden wall' and I'll wake up to find my plants torn apart.

So I think getting a little willow fence is a useful temporary measure until I can afford wrought iron railings. Oh, and planters on the wall filled with plants absolutely ideal to attract bees and other flying beasties :D

Ordered replacement SIM as mine has disappeared :?: They tried charging me a fiver, until I told them that if I didn't get it free, I'd just port the number over to a different network.

Now got DD for around 3 hours longer than usual. Apparently, KH, 'has stuff on'. We were going to go out tonight, as well. What a complete male chicken.

Although when he texted to say he was in hospital and might lose his hand, DD did only laugh and say 'did the car bite him back, then?'. My DD is shockingly tough where he's concerned. It's all the stuff he's said in the past that scared her that means she really doesn't worry anymore. Not that this is much of a consolation to you Piggers, but they do become immune to being scared eventually.

Now, WHAT IS that TERRIBLE noise?

Ah. Three cats attempting to declutter the first spider that has made it indoors since we moved in.

Do you really have to declutter it a leg at a time between you all?

    [sigh]
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
