Looks like I need to enjoy this coffee as lots to do. Am so chuffed with the hallway though, my study I will ignore seeing as it is full with books, odds and ends from in the hall and when the hall is done will need a total overhaul itself.

Ok, off to update GC then will crack on some more

    Kitchen - Done!!:D:D:D
    Cloakroom - Done!!:D:D:D
    Hall-Done!!:D:D:D
    Main bedroom - done!!:D:D:D

    I've been busy.

I've also caught up with all emails, halfplanned next week's lessons, bought the deli stuff from Sainsbury's, made stock and then roasted squash soup, and also run a taxi service for DS1 and 2.

I was thinking about going into town, but it's all grey and dark again here, so I'm going to put the radio on, and make my first lot of marmalade. I'm hoping to make five lots this year, if I can find enough time over the next three weeks or so.

Up to London tomorrow for a languages half day of talks, and DD is going to join me for lunch and shopping - I have told her that I'm not paid till Tuesday, so no chance of huge purchases in Primark!;)

valli - thank you! I know you know... as would grateful, vivw, and Mrs Chaos if they weren't equally snowed under.... being out when I was, I missed quite a lot of this, but I am struggling sometimes to see the point of the students uselessly chanting 'I'm a Level 2b, and I need to use a dictionary to get to the next level' Maybe I should just teach them it in Spanish/French, and at least that would be slightly more relevant. The Head's also emailed today, as he's mega stressing over OFSTED, as our attendance is slipping a bit, and our CVA has also gone down (how does that happen when we got our best GCSE results ever, and were 37th in the list of 200 most improved schools???). Another reminder to check all the stuff is displayed that should be, and all books marked etc - aarrgh. I almost (only almost) got in the car to go and collect them today. And just in case you may think I'm totally neglectful - the books have been tick marked, but I haven't put in all the stickers which say what level they are and what they should do to get to the next level...mainly because I've been busy finding good stuff to do that they'll enjoy and learn from.

The funeral of the young man I told you about on Monday was in the local paper (his grandad is a public figure). He had been in rehab, and everyone thought he was going to manage it - he'd literally just moved into his own place a week or two before, and friends said he was happy. He can't possibly have meant to leave. His brother - DS1's friend - has posted a heart breaking message on Facebook. I have to go round and see his mum. Just gathering up the courage.

Love and hugs to all of you. I have had the sort of week that makes me want to round up all my loved ones, and put them in a safe room and make them stay there!

One e bay item packed as it will sell

one pair of luscious shoes drooled over on e bay - question sent to buyer.

Note to self - you do NOT need ANOTHER pair of black court (going out) shoes with anklestraps even if they ARE designer, gorgeous and your size

Slept for way too long. :o

Have vacuumed everywhere including sofas and cushions. Cats don't half make a mess.......
I have dealt with a pile of paperwork, although i haven't finished, and I have sorted out 3 old handbags that were full of carp and not being used.

DH has declared that we are tidying out the loft tomorrow. Great
I had planned on doing the bathroom and popping into town. Still it will mean a lot of decluttering which is good, and new loft insulation. Probably do that next weekend though, which is why he needs to clear the loft.

Just having a coffee than I will start on the chicken curry.

Can anyone suggest the best place to sell paperbacks - fiction?
I have been listing on RISI but I have too many now so need to get rid of them. It would be nice if I could make a few quid

Pigpen, I'm not surprised you were  I'd think twice about showing nearest and dearest injuries like that, let alone children! Just checking to see if "twonk" is a word.
Lots and lots and lots of busy folks on here. Just in from work and about to change out of 'the suit' and grab a cuppa, but am up for my first ever HHC at 5.30 pm .......... feel free to join in and show the novice how it's done ............. except I have the feeling you've all finished this week and are moving on to next week before the spider spies arrive.
