Quite amazing for me. New flying plan this year is:

    downstairs one week,
    upstairs the next on rotation
with bathroom being done every weekened
    Weekly
change of all beds and towels
    hoovering and floor mopping throughout
    Daily
    laundry
    tidying
    s&sing

Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes. I love the two Tiggers Mrs_M

No flying here today but another reshufflle of figures in business plan, weight management where I found I had lost 1.5lbs since my Christmas weight gain and sunshine all day. Couldn't be better. Tonight DH and the boys are making me dinner and I am being taken out to a pub quiz.

I will have to try to catch up on here tomorrow.

ETA :bdaycake:Happy birthday Poohbear, I hope you have had a good day. I'm sorry I'm so late:o
  • Evenin'!

Beginning to feel slightly more human. Unfortunately I slept in yet again. I hate having curtains, as I only seem to wake up when there is light in the room. Of course, having the sort of body clock that only kicks me awake from around 12pm until 5am doesn't help. I am, whatever I try and do to the contrary, a night owl.

Made my latest CD of stuff to play (alternative to Piggers's filing/sorting out bookshelf/clearing cpra from laptop options :)). Playing in a jazz club is all very well, but there is so much more out there I want to do, which doesn't take away from the experience and skills (self discipline, tolerance of patronising wallberts and music snobs being amongst the most useful ) I am gaining from playing Blue Bossa and stuff like that.

Phoned the warranty people for my oven again. They promised the bleedin' useless engineer would call me in 15 minutes. I called them back two and a half hours later. They rapidly assured me that the parts are arriving by courier tomorrow and the engineer will be fitting them Monday, together with giving me a direct line to the boss in the event of the useless engineer not doing as he is supposed to. So much for rapid service. If it isn't fixed totally by teatime Monday, I am informing them that it obviously isn't fit for purpose/as described and I want a replacement in a different make installed by Friday. [stomps feet]

I have also bought and assembled a glass shelving unit for beside the front door, as the wooden DVD rack being used for this purpose made it looked closed in and dark when you opened the front door. And it almost matches the TV/AV rack perfectly. I know it is only really used for such esoteric purposes as being somewhere to put the phone and to hold the metal bowl I throw my door keys into as I walk in, but it's made a difference to me.

DD is hollering away to her music upstairs, having escaped a mass fight at school by being too small to be noticed disappearing over a bench as it all kicked off. Bet if it had been DD1's old school, it would have made the press by now, but because it's DD2's supposedly posh place, there won't be a sniff of it in the media.

I would have vacuumed, but the cat is currently unconscious on the rug in front of the radiator and I just don't have the heart to wake her up.

Thinking of egg and chips for tea tonight. Might have a scrap of steak somewhere in the freezer, too.

    It's right classy here :D
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
