  • Hi all,

I've been down to the lottie again this morning as it's such a lovely day and weeded and dug another 4ft ( by 22ft). Only another 96x22 to go:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I will not be beaten by a few weeds (and rotting veg and roots and................)

I'm just going to have a shower, have some lunch then a Morri5ons shop. THEN maybe I can get to my list.

    xx

re pegs - I believe some flyladies have to use matching(colour wise) pegs on items of clothing..
I'll settle for just being able to raise my arms high enough to put the washing on the line - I use whatever's the first peg I lay hands on!:D

OH's gran has maybe a few days left to live so some 'peaceful passing' vibes for her would be nice.. after I have persuaded him to go see her of course.. If noone minds.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this.:( Peaceful passing vibes on their way.

Helenjelly better day vibes for your dad

Dancemum hope your mum is OK; I know what you mean about not being able to concentrate while you wait for news.

    Hippo Bathday Poohbear.:D

If you'll excuse me, I'm now going to throwmyself on the floor, kick and scream and generally have a major tantrum..... WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

That's better..... It really isn't my week; Mr LW picked the new lounge door up off the kitchen floor, where he'd laid it for me to varnish, as it's now dry, and (as he thought) leaned it up against the wall this morning..... and it fell on me!! So..... I now have purple bruised knees, a bruise on my right buttock, a swollen, purple little toe, and a bruised and battered left shoulder..... plus my butterfly rash has come up with a vengeance, and the weird eczema-type thingy I sometimes get on my back has flared up again.
The only saving grace is that the door wasn't damaged!:o We'll be hanging it tonight, assuming I don't electrocute myself or something in the meantime!:D

Ah well, time to see what else I can manage off today and tomorrow's lists.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Mrs LW whatever is to be done with you?????? I hope you are okay and the rest of the week is pretty uneventful on the bruising front.
  • Thanks for the HHC Seafarers and PenPen.
    :j sockdrawer - I love your new sig :A

Aye, had a wee think about how I tend to put these things to one side, to do things I "should" do because I "ought" to have a qualification in this or that. (all upbringing stuff) and yet keep drifting back to them. It's slowly dawning on me that maybe I should have followed my heart rather than head years ago (I'm slow on the uptake) and am, I was away to write "A bit more seriously" but that's the wrong term, more, going with the interest.
The "doing it for dad" thing is my single minded mission to save up and buy a house cash, which could be completely mad and unrealistic, but might just work. He's virtually a recluse these days, in a flat he moved into in a hurry after my mum died, in quite a violent area of the city. He's talked about moving up here more than once, but doesn't want to loose the "view" over the river he has. I can see a time when he might well need to move, so it would be easier to present him with a fait accompli if you see what I mean. Also, due to very very awkward situation regarding ownership of our flat viz a viz MIL (another long story which unfortunately involves her committing fraud against my DH some years ago) it would be handy to have a bolt hole in case she doesn't follow through with some promises she's made re. the flat, and ends up selling it. Just a safety net, but I like keeping it in front of me to remind me.
Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.

    Lamewolf, take it easy xx

Pigpen, will say a little prayer for OH's gran and sending peaceful vibes.

Sorry, haven't read thread really - decluttered over 40 things from one of the kids' living room drawers (there's the equivalent of 10 to do ) and now it's so nice outside I've been out with DS raking up the leaves etc. Let the chooks out in the front garden and they're having a lovely time. Only in because DS decluttering something into his potty (bleugh) then we'll be out again. I'll catch up later ... promise!

Tigger and Tigger say Happy Birthday to Poohbear.

(I'm technically challenged when it comes to re-sizing photos though).

All good thoughts for Pigpen’s Gran.

Lamewolf, that all sounds very painful – have you dosed up on arnica?

ShySarah – so pleased things went better for you with your assessment than you feared – love the sound of lemons to keep your black dogs at bay.

Dancemum – hope your Mum’s OK.

Helen Jelly – more good thoughts for your Dad – and Mum – and you.

And (((hugs))) to everyone else who’s life is not on the straight and narrow just now.

Erm, flying – well, if we Pigpen’s robins and spiders had set me the challenge of thinking of others before pitying myself, I could have claimed that one.

I did manage to do my basic tidy through this morning, make my sandwiches, wash the pots, empty the WM and refill before work this morning. I need to do better, but baby steps, baby steps. Just need to load the airer up tonight, put the bin out (check which one) and then it’s an evening of baking. :T
