If its within the last 5 years expect a bit more on your premium and its not the risk of not telling them.
I have 3 vehicles all with 3 different insurers and have 6 points on my licence and all of them have stated it doesnt make any difference for 2 SP30's
With 3 it wouldThe DWP = Legally kicking the Disabled when they are down.0 -

Have you had a few points then Dave?
Only 3 and they are now expired, but still on my licence paper as I refuse to be held to ransome to have them removed. I have even had to return my licence in the meantime for change of address and asked the DVLA to remove them then to save the fee, but they refused as points were a 'seperate issue' and demanded another renewal fee. Tell me it isn't a scam?!
As for the offence, some years back now and I was entrapped. Roadworks for two months on a 50mph road that was reduced to 30 for the duration of the works. Roadworks finished on the Sunday night at midnight, cones removed from the highway but the 30 signs were not completely removed, although hard to spot clearly. Police with radar traps there for the Monday morning rush hour where I was zapped doing 40mph in what I thought had returned to a 50mph road as normal. Returning that day all signs gone and 50mph restored. Now tell me that wasn't entrapment? Did nothing to enhance safety or save lives or anything else than make money. Its a big debate and this maybe is not the place, but speed cameras in the main do very little if anything to improve road safety and an awful lot to improve local Police and Government revenue...0 -
was you driving into the cam or out of? the fixed ones on poles that use radar and lines on the road know your speeding but the photo wont be good to judge your speed if you were driving into it instead of out of it.0

then i doubt youll hear anything. unless it was digital camera.traditional gatso (that judge speed by the white lines on the road) only efective if your driving out of the camera not into. covers on side of the road at one time
DIGITAL TRUVELO doesnt need lines on the road and roumars say it doesnt flash as the pick is taken via infrared? and can judge speed going in or out of it. can turn on its own axis stand to face either way at anytime.

here is a handy map http://www.kmscp.org/safety-cameras/where-are-the-cameras.aspx
I'm guessing it was a gatso but kent have gatso and truvelo. If your speedo was reading 35 you were probably doing less so it was probably a dummy flash, they normal set them lower when they aren't loaded but you never know. If you do get done I would think speed awareness will be offered as the council gets the money for those. If you were going toward it you have no worries (assuming it was a gatso)
^ truvelo camera's do flash and use wet film same as a gatso, they say they are digital as they work from pulses from the road sensors. The infra red thing is BS too.Nothing to see here, move along.0
