OP, do you know what sort of camera you got flashed by?

Big yellow box on a steel pole, standard looking ones. My five year old asking me if I smiled when it flashed went down like a lead balloon. I was doing about 35 in a 30 zone :o

Only about 25% of cameras have film in, so don't panic yet.

The dividing line between a caution (Which, surprise, surprise, they never send. So much about it all being about road safety) and a NIP is the limit + 10% + 2 mph. In your case, 30 + 3 + 2 + 35.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

They can prosecute at 31. You post the 'guide', remeber the offence is excess speed and not 35 in a 30.

    Just outside Tunbridge Wells
  • Just like to add that it is also a double fine in effect nowadays as you cop the £60 fine and 3 points which as above come off after 4 years, BUT you need to send your licence back to have them removed and that incurs another £60 processing fee, so effectively you get fined twice.......

Remeber, its not about safety it is ALL about the money.

Never seen any asking to declare any older older than three and they are off your licence after 4.
The norm for insurance declarations is 5 years not 3.
