 Got zapped going past one today:mad:

Has been a while since ive got caught out with those bloody things. Anyone know how many points and what the fine is. Am trying to dig out my driving licence at the mo. How long do they stay on your licence for as I know I got caught a few years back?

Many thanks

Do a search, but it's 3 points and £60 as a minimum assuming just over the limit, much more than that and the sky's the limit.

Valid for 3 years and get taken off after 4, (if I recall)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

license wise. must be declaired to insurers for five some may have a declaration period of 3 years but very rare to find them these days.

Never seen any asking to declare any older older than three and they are off your licence after 4.

Valid for 3 years but insurers ask for any points in the last 5.

If its within the last 5 years expect a bit more on your premium and its not the risk of not telling them.

I recall all the insurers I've had quote saying; all accidents, all claims, all points, in the last 5 years???

You'll find the wording is convictions and not points. You don't always get points for endorsable offences.

Speeding and no insurance at the same time, convicted for both. 6 points for no insurance and no separate penalty for the speeding is often the outcome, you should tell the insurance of both.

Only about 25% of cameras have film in, so don't panic yet.

Where did you get that from?

The digital ones never have film.;)

OP may not but they'll know the location so not hard to find out.
