Halifax - Harassment?
Comments

Out of the companies that I use, Halifax is the one I got the most trash and spam off. They are forever sending stuff through the post and even asked my wife in the branch if she was interested in some services they had, she was only paying check in!. She said no so they sent the cr*p in the post anyway.
They have wound me up so much that I moved all my accounts with exception of the mortgage elsewhere. (to better accounts I may add and not just anywhere).
After many letters I rung them up and asked to be removed from all mailing lists. Seem succesful but I guess only time will tell.Regards,
Dave
If only I had a pound for every time I used the thanks button

hmm....I have two current accounts, one web saver and one regular saver with Halifax. I have to say that I NEVER receive anything from them. I opted for paperless statement.
Did ALL you guys TICK the NO box to mail, email, mobile, telephone communication from them when appling the accounts?0 -

All banks are the same. Its sell, sell, sell now. Its drummed into the staff that they must sell loans, mortgages, savings accounts etc. Its how you are judged on and it determines your bonus. Not saying it excuses the actions but they are only doing what they are told to do.0 -

Er, I doubt the police can do anything. Best to speak to the Halifax Fraud team.
To the people moaning about getting calls when the account is in arrears, Halifax collections use an automatic dialer, so the person who phones you doesnt actually see the account until the phone is picked up. So until a payment is made on an account or something is sorted out, your number stays on the automatic dialer. Which is a fair enough, really.
If your bank phones you and asks for security details, just phone your banks customer services so you know its them your speaking to. Then they can forward your call to the relevant department (ie collections/fraud).0 -
