this is a debt that I have not acknowledged as I'm not sure exactly what account CQ are referring to, as I have never had the particular credit card stated in the SD in my name.

It's not one of the CC accounts that has changed name is it?

Like Morgan Stanley as one example? That then changed to MS/Goldfish, and was eventually bought up by Barclays.

I had one from them at the start of december, i never got the SD set aside as to be honest i had far more important things to worry about. I just offered them a full and final settlement for half the value of the debt. They then sent me a letter asking me to call them. I just ignored it and have been waiting for the court papers to drop on the floor until this week.............. i got a letter off a company called " scot call" or something like that stating that capquest had sold my debt onto them lol.

Now im reporting capquest for serving me with an SD that they had no intention of acting upon. :j

I don't think that Scot Call are a debt collection agency so I don't think they've sold your debt on as such. As far as I am aware, Scot Call are "field agents" who send doorstep collectors - I had a Scot Call visit on behalf of Barclaycard when I started my dmp but my debt still remained with BC. I could be wrong though.
Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)
  • does the SD even have the name of the court that your case is suppesed to be held? Mine just looked like it had been photocopied by some muppet with bits filled in.

hi! yes it does state the court but other key details have been omitted! idiots!

thankyou for this - yes this could be why I don't recognise the name and account number.

I am going to request CCA from CQ tomorrow though.

oh! i just presumed it was sold on as the letter states that the debt has been passed onto them. They can show up at my door anytime, i will welcome them with my dog :D
