CapQuest Stat Demand

I've just recently been served with another Stat Demand-this time courtesy of CapQuest!

Would anyone have a moment to look at the paperwork they have served as I don't think it looks right at all!

The credit card name and account number referred to in the SD doesn't even look familiar to me for a start.

I intend to have the SD set aside asap.

Any help/advice much appreciated! :)

Can I scan in and PM you if poss? Just been reading about CapQuest and SD's - it seems like they serve them incorrectly most of the time :(

  • I had one from them at the start of december, i never got the SD set aside as to be honest i had far more important things to worry about. I just offered them a full and final settlement for half the value of the debt. They then sent me a letter asking me to call them. I just ignored it and have been waiting for the court papers to drop on the floor until this week.............. i got a letter off a company called " scot call" or something like that stating that capquest had sold my debt onto them lol.

Now im reporting capquest for serving me with an SD that they had no intention of acting upon. :j

Absolutely report them. It's a clear abuse of process.....;)

good morning! I have PM'd you the scans of the SD.
many thanks for taking a look.

this is a debt that I have not acknowledged as I'm not sure exactly what account CQ are referring to, as I have never had the particular credit card stated in the SD in my name.

Do I send a CCA request in the meantime while also preparing to set aside the SD?

Agreed - report them. Capquest are notorious for its 'flies around s***' approach to SDs.

I will definitely report CQ as soon as I have had this SD set aside.

  • sorry everyone - ignore the above post! I have remembered what to do but would love someone to take a look at the SD as I am sure it has been served incorrectly and contains errors. :)

  • does the SD even have the name of the court that your case is suppesed to be held? Mine just looked like it had been photocopied by some muppet with bits filled in.
