Just to add, Phones4u are slightly cheaper with th o3 deal:
    http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_contract_details.asp?ItemKey=423608&MPItemKey=445739&NetKey=11
Slightly less cashback from Topcasback @ £35.35 (min.).

Phones4u are also excellent with casback/retention deals.

Wow, that's pretty good.. and it's directly from Phones4u.. So you've personally not had any problems with phones4u cashback? Is it the same system?

Just remember that E2Save is actually Carphone Warehouse and they use the same cashback systems.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

Slightly different with P4U, you get sent a "redemption certificate" which needs to be returned with the correct bill (within 60 days).

P4U were excellent when I used them, but sadly I generally only go for 17 months free on an 18 month contract or when available, an 18 months free on an 18 months contract - much lesser value phones though. P4U don't offer these deals any more.

    This cashback link may help:

You get more mins with o2 (500 mins), hence slightly dearer.

If you took out a 24 months contract in Jan., you would simply just send a bill/copy of a bill (printed from pc) in June, Sept., Dec., 2011 and March and June 2012 to get your cashback.
You do have to pay in full each month and the displayed price p/m is the price which includes cashback. Going via say Topcashback will reduce you monthly cost even further (£46.46 minimum).

Send an email and get confirmation, but I personally would go with what it says on the o2 site regarding the tariff.
Always keep any replies, you never know when you might need them.

  • Last time I claimed from e2Save I sent all the paperwork recorded delivery and then receieved a letter saying I missed the claim date. Attached to the letter was a copy of my bill stating the date scanned - that date being within the claim window. I had a huge hassle getting the money back even though I had proof of their receipt of the documents in time.

I cancelled at the end of the contract and went to Virgin whose tariffs are cheaper and there is no cashback hassles.

Weren't your problems with e2Save nearly 3 years ago, hardly fair to compare what happened then with how they are working now? If you do i like I did you submit your claim as soon as you can, keeping proof of postage, then you have plenty of time to sort any problems out before the cut off date.

I see you are suggesting using Virgin but you have also complained on here about their "pushy" sale staff near to the end of the contract?

As I see it if you are happy with the hassle of submitting claims then the best deals are with e2Save, if not, then you should look elsewhere for the best non cashback deal.

e2save is Carphonewarehouse and dialaphone is Phones4U so there's little risk. Plus i think they do auto redemption so you just get the refund.

Try telling that to all those who got stuffed by cpw when they decided to employ dirty tactics!

Free lunches are never "safe"; in this case they CAN be free - but anone assuming all they have to do is follow the t&c without a care is asking for trouble with cpw.
