GOOGLE THE LINE NATIONAL GRID STRIKE
and you will see headlines going back years of every possable story of threats of walk outs /balloting and ooooh possable strikes , in my 25 years on national grid ive never heard once any mention of possable walkouts or strikes ...mybe because almost 75% of the workers are sub-contractors or agency workers , and the chance of bringing th country to its knees with total blackouts is tripe ,the grid is broken up into several sections ,and there are several companies that supply the power now ....NOT JUST ONE COMPANY !!!!:rotfl:
PS.... ARTHUR IVE NOTICED ON YOUR POFILE YOUR A MYSTIC GEEZER ....well get yourself on ebay and get a new crystal ball because your old one is cloudin up lolol
Where do you get your ownership information from? Nat Grid PLC (no idea who Nat Grid Energy is, no mention of such a company on google) certainly isn't owned by any suppliers, in fact, the largest holding is less than 5% and that's an investment company, as are the next 4 major holdings.
Why does the number of generators (those that supply the power to the grid) mean the grid can't be brought to it's knees? That logic is just nonsense - did you read my previous post above, which makes it clear it's very easy to bring the grid down if the grid operators decide not to work?
There may or may not be strikes, and there may or may not be powercuts due to any possible strike, but if not, it isn't due to any of the reasons you have mentioned.0
