Any update OP?0

The meeting never happened, the time came and went and nothing. Called the managers phone - he never answered so I just got on with it and thought he'd call me when he was ready. He walked past me half an hour before I finished, asked what time I finish at and that was it.
I'm not sure what's to happen, do I just go into work tomorrow and wait for him to call for me? I was really nervous to the point of feeling ill today and I made myself keep it together but I don't know if I can face it tomorrow. The stress has triggered a cluster of seizures (not at work thankfully) and I have no idea when he will get back round to dealing with me, the idea of going in tomorrow and getting hauled into the office with no notice is making me ill.
Do any of the other colleagues on this thread know if law club membership is still free?0 -
On the up side, I have a voicemail on my machine asking me to call and arrange an interview for a position in a different pharmacy chain! I'll do that tomorrow on my lunch!0

Good luck alisaila x0

Thank you.
I went into work today, had a word with my line manager (who knew nothing about this as he is job share and wasn't in on Friday). He's said that the pharmacy chain I'm being interviewed for is tough but the pay is better (he's a locum on his off days so he's got a good idea of local pharmacies).
He also said that he thinks it's disgusting that no one has approached me yet to explain why I've not had my meeting (though we have established that it's an investigation meeting and not an actual disciplinary yet). The manager who is doing the meeting saw me no less than 8 times today and didn't offer an explanation to what is going on. I feel like they are playing mind games with me now, they know I have a condition that hates stress so why are they stressing me out so much?0 -
Oh and my interview is on Saturday0

Asda are a law unto themselves! I've been chatting with a colleague tonight, and Asda seem to be a bit sort of tying themselves in knots regarding certain things. I work the CSD one day a week and the changes that are taking place there are unreal. If I were you, I would confront the issue and ask your line manager what is happening - don't wait for them to approach you. There may be reasons you don't know of why you haven't been interviewed yet. Don't get stressed, rich coming from me who when I first started in the CSD used to be physically sick at work before starting my shift I was so scared, but you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain by making the first approach. remember, if you do get an interview for the other job, you will need a reference from Asda.
Good luck, but you have to be strong and assertive otherwise you will get trampled on - retail is brutal!0 -
I get stressed really easily, I also worry like crazy and I have real problems approaching people I don't know well about problems so I'm not going to be able to ask the PSM or ATM what's happening without breaking down or something.
I was off today and it was lovely not having to worry about being in there and getting dragged off to another meeting. I'm in tomorrow at 9 though and I'm dreading itno idea how I'm supposed to keep coping with this, the idea of going near the place is making my stomach tumble and my heart flutter.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to cope with this pressure?0 -
The only advice I can offer re coping with the pressure is to remember that this is just a job. I know your job is important to you (and I don't think you deserve to get sacked) but it is still just a job. It doesn't define you, it's just what you do to earn money. If the worst happens and you lose your job, the world will keep turning and you'll manage somehow. Don't make yourself ill with the worry, it isn't worth it.0
