I can't take anymore, I can't see the light at the end of this long and dark tunnel.

I go from feeling exactly like this to feeling that something has to come along soon.

Sometimes I feel so despondent about it all I feel sick. I feel like it's up to the recruiters and they're playing God with my life.

We're relatively lucky though, my husband was in a highly paid job for ten years and got a large redundancy pay off, and we had some equity when we sold our flat down south so we have enough money to live frugally for another year without work (I hope it doesn't come to that).

Just got told that I didn't get the second job either. I was the front runner after the first interview apparently but I wasn't assertive enough in the second. The agency told me that the guy who interviewed me seems like a tough nut to crack because they sent three people to that second interview and they haven't been interested in any of us.

Apparently the company haven't hired anyone and are going back to the drawing board, but how can that be true when they needed someone to start on Monday....

Two rejections from interviews in two days just isn't fun.

Sounds like the last company are not sure what their requirements really were and are hence disorganised:eek:. Very sorry to hear about your disappointment.

I felt like that the other day,so I decided to not bother searching today.

Think you can get too involved at times with job hunting,so I've had a day of tidying up the house and spending time with my grand daughter.
Not even bothered looking at the bank account online as it would depress me thinking that my wages would have been in usually today.

I know how you feel I spend a lot of my time being down and pretty depressed. I just fill my time with always doing something, when I'm not at my voluntary work, if I have nothing to do I do surveys, enter competitions, do e-learning, hunt for freebies, do some cashback clicks and I have now started a blog :D

I've also applied for a distance learning course, just waiting to check I got a free place.

Loops, it's not a bad idea to set your alarm and get up at a set time every day even though you're not going to work. Keeping to a routine does you no harm at all. Ours goes off at 7.30am Monday-Thursday, Friday is an alarm free day (a bit like finishing early on a Friday when in work, hahaha) and the weekend's the weekend as it always was :T

thanks :) im getting into bad sleep patterns, because now i end up staying up late searching for jobs in the middle of the night, and finding it harder to sleep...so i'll do that as of monday!
  • It'll also make it easier for you when you do get a job, you'll already be in the right sleep patterns and won't panic about the drastic change to your routine.

Well the interview went well, well I say interview, it felt more like an informal chat asking me about my previous experience within the industry (which I have lots), football and how my skills matched their criteria. They advised me they will let me know within a month. Thought to myself that was quite a long time to wait but better then nothing I guess.
