How do expect anyone to know that " failed " means about to fail in your language.?

The emissions are always worse when the engine is cold, so go for a run and put your foot down on the Motorway before your test.

Redex and a good thrash of the engine an hour before the test should get it through unless its a really high reading in which case you need something replacing.
