I just bought into the new NEW :-), listed on AIM today; place to develop oil/gas assets in the Americas spec Belize and Eastern Canada. £3mil in the bank and opening issue at 5p of 60mil shares - low shares i issue and currently on the offer at 5.5p. If their investment strategy comes through could be a multibagger for 2011

Was looking at EMED chart again and noticed the recent fall in price has been on lower volume then its rise which makes it unlikely to hold here long term in theory

    oHAbw.gif

See how the red line is steeper then the blue, the third graph there is a combination of the two trying to show underlying strength or weakness - hence its not fallen like the price

A smaller number of sellers can drop the price disproportionately if they demand their money back right now. However in time this 'damage' should be easier to fix then is apparent

Anyway this is just one point of view, I realise not everyone is into graphs but its just a quick way to count who has sold where and how much, turns out its not as bad as it looks I reckon

[Also put a ruler on the screen, line it up with the lowest prices of June July August Sept Nov - see where its pointing now. Could all add up, we shall see what happens next]

Just realised I forgot to do one of these this month:

Not looking too good. My tip for "Super"group has gone from an almost 30% gain to over a 30% loss :(

CAZA is looking very good also, ive just sold my XEL shares invested them in XEL 89p sold at 363 so nice profit, put the lot in CAZA on there 35% COS well due to spud today or tommorow.
I agree above XEL is a safe bet possible to double, triple or mroe your money in a year or 2

Owch, they both fell but caza slightly better.

In theory they could both come back

Overall market right now is looking very ominous but strangely Euro is doing ok and of course commodities remain high

SKR rose 17% yesterday after alot of falls, I had bought some just before but mostly waiting like alot of the shares listed for it to really recover alot

Small shares arent always the worst off.
Look at ABG, they had a force of 1500 people raid their gold mine with machettes and the share price looks similar - FTSE 100 company

Best aim co recently for me was Hyder who keep doing strong earnings thanks to being in Asia

It certainly is a slightly worrying time. I have only around 6k tied up in stocks and shares (either directly or in S&S ISA), so really it is small beer. But I am wavering about pulling the whole lot out and stuff it under the mattress to be honest.
If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused

    Tell me about it!

This is what my ISA has done in the last 6 months:

Essentially nothing. The pension is up around 4%. Not bad when compared to the FTSE 100, but still nothing to write home about.

    Salvation ?
Shares in SuperGroup (SGP) zipped up 184.5p to 1,062p after the fashion retailer continued to show exceptional growth rates, with unaudited pre-tax profits of 47.3 million pounds for the 52 weeks ended 1st May 2011, up 110% from the previous year. The company has rapidly expanded over the last 12 months, with 44 new shops opened, including 21 new outlets in the UK. A new flagship store is set to be opened on Regent Street in London towards the end of the current financial year. UK-Analyst attended lunch with the company today where CEO Julian Dunkerton called the Regent Street store opening "an opportunity of a lifetime". Analyst price targets for the shares range between 1,500p and 2,000p.

Beowulf cheap now or have they sold off new shares

My supergroup is recovering a little. Don't think it will get back to their year-high, but we'll see.
