NCP long stay at Birmingham airport

Is there any way of angling down the cost of parking at BHX? I need to park for 5 days in early March.

I've used Purple Parking before. Their car park was about 10 minutes from the airport and they run a shuttle bus. Considerably cheaper than the long-stay. If you use the discount code AF1 in the online booking form you'll get 12.5% off their prices.
[Edit] - PS Don't be tempted to use Meteor Parking. Besides the fact that they are expensive, you'll be lining the pockets of APCOA (their parent company) one of our favourite PPC's.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Yes, piece of cake.
Simply park.
Go on hols/break/work trip.
Upon return simply follow another car out through the barrier [don't worry the barrier won't 'come down on top of car and kill everyone in car'].
Total cost....free.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Although I would agree to not paying any contravention invoices placed on my vehicle by NCP if I parked there.
I don't think I would risk doing as you suggest. I think you would find yourself open to a charge of "Obtaining services by deception"
Remember operating a car park is not illegal, they offer you a place to park for a fixed amount. If you chose not to pay by driving off, could cause you problems.
It is the illegal unenforceable contraventions which we should be fighting against, not legitimate parking!0 -

Strictly speaking they have not, as of yet been declared illegal.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Obtaining services
2.24 Under section 1 of the Theft Act 1978, an offence is committed by a person who
by deception dishonestly obtains services from another. Parking your car on their property
This offence is very wide:
“services” are obtained if the other person is induced “to confer a benefit by doing Your car being parked
some act, or causing or permitting some act to be done, on the understanding that
the benefit has been or will be paid for”,
50
or “to make a loan, or to cause or
permit a loan to be made, on the understanding that any payment (whether by
way of interest or otherwise) will be or has been made in respect of the loan”.

Pre booking online with at least 4 days notice, gets the price down from the standard rate :j0 -

Of course I have never done this myself, but a 'friend' of mine has done it lots of times.
Trust me, I've been around when it's been done and it's a piece of cake.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
