So we go into a Ford dealership today looking at part-ex on a new Fiesta, Parkers Price Guide says our cars part-ex is £11,185 yet the dealer has offered us £9,500 and thats after he inspected it and said its in superb condition???
Whats all that about, ours is a 4 wheel drive too and they are supposed to be in demand???

When have car dealers ever been fair?
I'd walk as well if it was me, unless he knocked a fair bit off the car. Parkers are always a bit generous on part ex prices i find glass's to be more realistic.0 -

Depends if the dealer can shift it in fairness. I wouldn't spend £11k on a Fiesta that's for sure
If they are in so much demand why are you selling? If Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -
Parkers is rubbish - often their valuations are miles out.0

need something smaller and more economical as we don't need 2 4wd cars in the household now0

It's a car dealers, what do you expect. They want maximum profit, so they are going to offer you the lowest price they can get away with. You also pay for the convenience of them taking it off your hands hassle free.
If you want the best price, sell it privately.0 -

You don't need two maybe others don't feel the need.0 -
What Car valuations seem to be fairly accurate. When I part exchanged my car last year the dealer offered exactly the value they quoted.0

rip the books up, at the moment the market is bad and you can only sell it for what someone will payI

Its called being in business !!!!!!. Did you really expect them to give you market value?
I can't believe someone honestly has to ask this.
And a 4x4 with fuel at £1.32 a litre for diesel is a bit of a lemon and most dealers don't want to touch them with a barge pole.0
