do they count released tasks as bad? I had some exam type ones to do, and couldn't see a way to end them, so had to just log out. With others you have to release when you want to stop work. Silly way to mark you if they expect you to carry on until they decide you are done.

why can't all the names be consistent as to what task you are doing? do they really want to make it hard for us??

and finally, whats a resolve queue? i've not had anything that appears like that appear.

Whenever I want to take a break or stop for the day I just click on the Homepage link (top right) and this takes you out of the tasks and you will see "you have ........ in your queue". When you are ready just click on this to start again or if you leave it over a couple of hours then it will reset.

The resolve queue is for type 7 tasks and if you have any these they will show underneath where it tells you what tasks are available. You get them when there has been some disagreement between raters and you need to go in and check your rating and then leave a comment to support your decision or rerate if necessary. It stays "unresolved" until the majority of raters have agreed upon a same/similiar rating and then changes to resolved. The tasks then get cleared after a certain amount of time. I currently have 9 resolved tasks in my list some of which have been there 3 days.

Oh no, I've just made the mistake of checking the Lionbridge site and my application has been rejected already :(. I''m so disappointed, I didn't even get past the first step. I wish I had been more patient and not looked until after the weekend!

Good luck to everyone who has made it through, I hope it all goes well.

  • Ive no idea if they count released tasks as bad. On my feedback least for type 7 the ones i rated wrong were in yellow and the 2 released ones were also in yellow. I've read on another forum that they may count them as wrong if they were deemed quite straight forward tasks. But thats the whole point of the release button, it is there to press when you cannot personally rate the task.

Still waiting for a reply, no idea what to do. If i knew i was safe i would be on the P now, making sure all the quizzes were done and the webinars watched. I dont want to waste my time though if they are about to let me go.

Dear me - so frustrating
Surely it doesnt take that long to reply to an email!!!

I applied two weeks ago, and got an email saying they had no current vacancies at the moment, but would keep me on file.

Is this a brush off? Were any of you actually contacted after previously applying?

I applied last October and was told that there were no vacancies at that time. They then contacted me in January to ask if I was still interested. I think they tell you outright if you are not suitable so I do not think it is a brush off. I have also heard other people in the last week being told the same thing so I think they have probably stopped recruiting in the UK for the time being.

Anyone done the new training/ test task?

I completed all the 10 questions and then the whole thing has come back again. I don't want to redo it and end up maybe giving slightly different asnwers, but if I don't do it will it just sit there stopping me doing any other work?

    Anyone else had this problem?

Yep, exactly the same. I have done it twice (there was one sneaky new one in the second time around) - I'm not sure my scores were identical either but I had no choice - until I did it again it wouldn't go away!!

    Glad it's not just me!

If it's still there tonight I think I'll just release it. I've answered the 10 questions, so they must be able to mark me on that. The tasks are too long winded and complicated to do again and we don't get paid for them and I'm bound to make some minor differences if I redo it several hours after the 1st time.
