  • I may be being a bit paranoid, but if there's no NRT and then say on Friday or Saturday there's some, would you still be expected to do a full 10 hours or would it be acceptable to just do what you can ?
    Thanks

You are being paranoid, trust me.
  • I just started the process for a Spelling Assessor role. My primary job gives me time to get 10-20 hours in. Extra money will be good to go straight to savings

Thanks to all the poster on here for their valuable information in helping find out about this company and all about the qualifying process.

The way I look at it, is if the minimum is 10 hours per week that works out at an average of around 1.5 hours a day. So, if there is no work for 2 out of the 7 days then I think its fair that you only have to do the equivalent of 5 days minimum hours e.g. 5 x 1.5 hours or 7.5 hours; I don't think you should be expected to have to 'catch up' for the work lost on NRT days; its not your fault there was no work. I don't know whether this is how Lionbridge look at it but I feel its a logical approach and an approach to be able to justify my hours should Lionbridge ever question my lack of hours on a NRT week. I don't know whether they can tell whether you've logged into the rating portal or not, but I also make sure I have logged in and checked a couple of times for work to show I was willing and available for work, just in case.

Me too. Had NRT all day yesterday and its still that way today. Hopefully there's just little work just now...as I was also getting rather paranoid that it was only me and that I was under review as my time sheet last month was messed up.

Glad its not just me then! Had nothing since Sunday night now (although did around 5 hours Sunday) except around an hour Tues night. Guess its just a quiet spell....guess Ill just make the most of having some free time back...

I was glad to see last night (after checking regularly during the evening), I finally had some work......it lasted 2 minutes! Hope it picks up soon.
  • Hi,
I found out this week I passed the 3 exams. But have now received a whole load of coursework I have to go before I can go live rating. 8 hours worth of coursework - I'm just wondering (hoping!) - any chance we get paid for the 8 hours???!

Afraid not. None of the time spent on training, reading, webinars etc are paid for.

  • I passed my Exam on the 3rd attempt, I guess they are desperate here! Logging on I can see there are a serious number of tasks available. Can't wait to get started today although it's still all quite daunting.

Just been looking at the Lionbridge website and cannot see the spelling assessor role advertised. Was it offered to you directly or am I missing it listed somewhere?

    Thank you
