    Banking question...

Apart from Santander, what other online accounts can be used with LB, looking for a simple esaver account that i can open?

    Thank you
  • Another question for recent new raters...

...I received an email this morning telling me I need to carry out some 'coursework ' / additional training before I can access live tasks. I have logged into the training portal and there is 8 hours of training seminars on my dashboard however the deadline they have given me is tonight! So 8 hours training to be done in just over 12 hours with no advance warning to leave the whole day free? Is this deadline an error do you think? I have emailed LB but dont expect to hear back in time to stop me stressing all evening and rushing through as much of it as I can in case the deadline is correct....
Proud to be dealing with my debts
Debt at Light Bulb Moment (January 2011): £21,953
Debt at current level (Nov 2013): £4,567.50
Debt free wanabee date: Dec 2014 :j

I used to work for LB back in 2011, recently worked for LF but then they got rid of me randomly just at the same time I get asked to come back from LB. So just waiting for my exam to come through to prove I can still do the job! :)

My situation is much the same - worked for LB in 2011, worked for LF earlier this year, just had an invite from LB to re-apply.

However, having received (and signed) copies of all the contractual documentation from LB and been invited to sit the 'Qualifying Exam' again, this morning they sent me an email saying my application was unsuccessful!!?????

I mean, What? I didn't even get the link to the exam yet, let alone complete it, so how can I suddenly be 'unsuccessful' when 3 days ago they were inviting me to take their test??

I've emailed them seeking clarification, I'm assuming it is some kind of mistake, at the very least they should explain themselves in this instance as it is pretty disgraceful to invite people to participate and then revoke that invitation without explanation.

    Hi all,
I would like to hear what other people have to say about their experience with Lionbridge's exams and communication.
I took the Ad Assessor's final test last week andstill haven't heard anything back from the Lionbridge team even though I have asked for updates.
After all the hours, dedication, and efforts I gave to taking their tests (challenging and confusing at times - to say the least), I am p*** off they can't be bothered to let me know where I stand.
I have worked for them before and received an email exactly 24hrs after exam completion so why can't they contact people who fail at the same time? Very rude...
Anybody would like to chip in on their recent experience w LB?
    Thank you!
I would feel better to know I'm not alone... But it is still pathetic to treat good-willed candidates like that, I think.
I am in Europe, dealing with the Irish office. So my experience might only apply to this location.
  • Hi Loveforfree

I agreed to Terms Monday 18.11.2013, took two emails to get a response as to whether I would move forward to the exam. I was advised today all my tests for the Internet Assessor role will be with me on 4.12.2013 - their emails are soooo long!

Very nervous now, passed a psychometrictest in 2004 for my present employment but nothing since.
  • I sat it a couple of weeks ago. Passed part 1 & 2 and failed part 3.

They've asked me to re-sit and I'm scheduled for 4/12 also. Have to do the whole thing again :0(

Don't know why I failed part 3. No feedback at all.

Also none of my email links or user I'd work any more. Assume they will reactivate.

Any tips for approaching part 3 without breaking the confindentiality agreement?

I just failed the 3rd part of the exam for the second time.
  • Sorry to hear that pedroide.

I've sailed through pt 1 & 2 and passed easily again the second time but I've just been doing the tutorials for part 3 and failed on those so I'm not hopeful I'll pass second time round either :0(
  • Hi

I've just passed the Internet Assessor exam and am waiting for the "welcome" email. Could anyone tell me what banks don't charge for receiving payments in Euros ? (RBS charge £7 a payment). Also for tax purposes, should I create my own company and get a business bank account ?

    Thanks in advance
  • It's ok, spoke with the tax people - register as self employed, and Santander don't charge for international payments - sorted !
