Anyone else taking Lionbridge Exam next week?

I'm glad its not just me.
Like you I really, really need this job, so I am in a bit of a panic. My thoughts at the minute are do as much as I can now, when I still have the chance, incase they decide to let me go in the next few days.
I have been trying to find out some information, and I think the problem is not completing quizzes and webinars. Apparently this can really bring down your rating.
I just don't know what to expect next, do they email telling us what we're doing wrong? Or do they do nothing?0 -
Hiya
I just wanted to add some reassurance for you both - I am a week or so away from the end of my 11 month term and I have had 2 stars on two separate occasions. The remainder of the time, I have received a mixture of 3, 4 and even 5 stars. I do nothing different each month so I have absolutely no idea WHY the ratings dropped so suddenly.
PLEASE don't worry too much - I didn't receive any communication about the low stars - I did the quizzes online and signed up each month for the webs to show my intention was to improve.
I regret the time I now spent beating myself with worry - every month I dreaded the stars coming out. Overall, it's a good experience so try to relax and enjoy!!0 -
I agree with pinkdebtser, I've been there 7 months and ratings varied from 2 to 5, no idea why they change so much. I did worry at the start but now think every month I stay is a bonus. :-)0

I would third what the others have said! Honestly don't let it demotivate you, especially at an early stage. You'll pick up a lot more knowledge the more you get stuck in and with any job you are bound to make a few mistakes at the start. Just carry on! I was slow to take up the webinars and online quizes as with everyone there's always something else needing to be done but they are useful and the guys taking them are always helpful. I'm up to my 11 months soon too and has been a good extra income for me so happy to have been able to take the job on.
Good luck!0 -

Limitation, pleased that you're on your way to working for Lionbridge, but I would remove the information that you posted straight away if I were you, as you would be breaking the NDA that you are required to sign, by disclosing pay rate etc.
Best of luck in your application.0 -
Hi Guys,
I have my exam next week and I was wondering about a couple of things. I know the NDA may stop these being answered:
Basically I have a lot of free time on night shift at work and was thinkng of doing some of my lionbridge hours there. This would be on a different IP to my house, will that matter? Also the work wifi blocks some sites, I assume that would be a problem. If so I could use my 3G dongle?
Thanks in advance

Hi - I would highly recommend editing your post removing the rate of pay as you're breaking the NDA you have to sign!0 -
Hi guys, I am waiting to hear whether Ive passed the 2nd part of the exam. From what I've worked out the due time was 3pm today (7am PST). Does anyone know if they tend to take the full 4 hours to let you know if you have passed or not and do they always let you know either way?
The longer its taking the more I'm convincing myself I've probably failed. I'm very impatient I know lol!!!
Got everything crossed anyway.Oct GC: £144.07/£2000
