  • I'm a bridesmaid for my friend who's getting married in April (in Vegas :) ) and for her hen do we are going up to Birmingham on the friday, having a shopping and mooch around day, and then a nice evening meal and wine etc and on the saturday we are going to a spa for the whole day then drinks and games in hotel room until 10ish then PARRRRTAAAAYYYY in the night wearing "little black dresses and sashes", will be a heavy drinking night, probably ending up in Gatecrasher until 5am  ooh and i've rang around the clubs and bars to get us on the guest list so we don't have to queue and get free/cheaper entry!

Oooh and she had a NO STRIPPERS rule too, but we have done silly veil and L-plates etc and we've all got personalised hoodies and sashes! Really looking forward to it :D
  • I am going to bluestone park in Wales, I am looking forwards to it so much!! Going with my SIL, 2 best mates, mum and he best mate. For a 3 night stay its about £80 but at least we can cater ourselves as we have our own lodge!! It has a swimming pool/ water park, spa, but also some adventurous stuff plus a village centre with pub and shop etc!
We hyave been to Bluestone Park and its lovely there only thing I would say is to prebook a golf buggy as the site is VERY hilly and steep. The golf buggies are great fun! The lodges are beautiful,,,top quality, sign up for Deal Checker and you will get some great deals for Bluestone Park,,we had 4 nights for 4 people for £99
I might be crazy but I'm not stupid....
  • Mine is being planned by my 2 fab SILs and it is going to be a surprise for me, i got my invite last night and all i know is the dates 23rd/24th July and that i'm not allowed to wear black or white and the theme is Diamonds, it so far sounds very me and i am extremely excited.
Engaged 16th July 2010:j. Became parents to 4 year old and 2 year old 25th August 2010:grouphug:.

Thanks to Birdie85 who posted on the first page I am also going for a spa break at a hotel near Leeds. We'll be going to a restaurant in the city for a meal followed by lots of drinkies. I've had to organise that much myself so I'm hoping the girls organise some sillyness as I'm not doing that myself!!!

Everyones sounds really lovely but Iam not really a go out and get drunk girlie and sitting still in a spa isn't me either so what I want to do is go on an offroad course in 4x4's :p

Most of my girlie friends are petrol heads like me and are sooooo looking forward to it, I think one of my BMs is organising it :) then I think maybe a night in a cabin and a quite meal with drinkies :)

Re- Renovating our 1893 build 1970's renovated property oh the joys..
  • were going to edinburgh for the weekend, booked a package with a site called chillisauce weve got accomodation right in the centre all our club bar entry, our activity on saturday is a cocktail masterclass with our lunch and then were off to the dream boys show.
We had the chance to do male naked life drawings.. how funny.
  • This is my first post so slightly excited about this ;-)

I'm bridesmaid for my best friend this year in August and she has asked me and her sister to organise her hen do for her; our first idea was a "kids party" theme (because she is a big kid after all) with a village hall, bouncy castle, music, musical bumps and pass the parcel etc, then heading into Exeter Town for the evening.
We were all set for this idea but the hall isn't big enought to fit bouncy castle inside, and typical British weather means that you can be sure to be dry; its a big gamble to take if it is raining and people can't use what they have spent their money on.
Any ideas about what to do with 30 women and a village hall? We have to think about all ages groups, sizes and has to be cheap enough for everyone to attend.
Exeter is quite small and doesn't have much to offer in the way of day activities, and not sure where to go from here.
Thinking of doing t-shirts and goodie bag as well.
Really want to make this the best day and evening for my friend.

I'm having a Mad Hatters Tea Party boat cruise, followed by a few drinks and food at The Living Room. No overnight stays or trips abroad as its not fair to expect hens to pay alot of money! I'm hoping for a dry day though!
