Its not my hen but my sisters, and it is on Saturday...Yay!.

We are in Doncaster too, and were planning to go to the dogs but couldn't get hold of them to confirm the booking. We left emails, phone messages and had nothing in return, so we've had a change of plans. (Turns out they were closed for 2 weeks but didn't say this anywhere on website or answerphone).

Anyway, sorry for rambling, we are now going to Frankie and Benny's for a meal and then off bowling. Just got to convince her to go into town afterwards now.

Your hen nights sound fantastic and how lucky are you having 4!

Awww thanks. Your sisters sounds fab too. Hope you all have a wonderful nite - what a real shame about the dogs that would have been fab too.
I originally wanted a murder mystery weekend away but it was too expensive for some of my hens so my sister came up with something different to do each nite so i wasnt too disappointed x

We're going to a nice hotel with a spa in Leeds and having a pamper day then in the evening we're all getting dressed up as Barbies and going out for dinner and (lots of) drinks. I'm not too sure about where we're going as it's being kept quiet but I can't wait! My bag is packed already! :D

    I can't believe you're having 4 hen nights Bride2be!

  • For my sisters' hen weekends, one of them went to Cheltenham racecourse, and we got a table in the restaurant (you can watch the races up there or go down to the paddock) and had lunch and afternoon tea. The other one was going to have a spa day but then this got cancelled at the last minute and we went to see Funny Girls in Blackpool instead, which was bizarrely hilarious and is quite a popular hen night thing.

If it was me, I'd like to do something like learning to make cocktails, going for a nice meal and then go dancing to indie music. I'll probably end up having two hen dos though as I can't see my mum coming to an indie club, so the choice for something a bit more sedate would be afternoon tea.

  • Lots of great sounding hen ideas. Mine isn't until September, but it's already planned! We've got a lodge booked in Perthshire for the Friday - Sunday. When everyone arrives on the Friday we're having a pampering night - my sister is at beauty college so is going to do manicures and pedicures for us in the lodge, and everyone's going to bring up bits and bobs for a buffet. The Saturday will depend on the weather, but there are lots of nearby things to do and we'll go out for dinner at night. Then on the Sunday there will be fewer of us, as some people are going back to work the next day, so we're just going to get a takeaway and have a night on the wii.
