Nope.
Still don't care.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I think I've worked out why the price of your house won't go down Hamish. Have you got a nodding donkey at the end of your Aberdeen garden? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I think people will complain, and maybe even protest, but most will keep paying out to have the convenience of a car regardless of the cost per litre. They may change their habits slightly, but the ability to go where they want whenever they wish is something the vast majority will hang on to. Those of us who live in a very rural environment also have few other options. A push bike isn't much use for a supermarket return trip of 26 miles!
Food prices have also risen significantly, and they look set to continue as well, so there's another drain on family budgets.
All of this leaves less money for that other 'essential;' a roof over the family's head.
It's not exactly a recipe for a quick recovery of the housing market, is it?0 -

More like a nodding dog on the parcel shelf of the car...Oh yus!0 -
It's not all bad news for towns with jobs and short commutes though.;)
No, but I could see some country areas being less favoured as a result and prices there slipping accordingly. There's lots of non-picture postcard rurality.
Not here, obviously, as we're stacked out with rich Boomers from Essex, but you get the picture. :cool:0 -
I bet most of you voted conservative so you get what you asked for.. Higher tax for poor and No or very low tax for rich people. Good luck0

Are you suggesting petrol prices would not have increased under Labour? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Efficient cars aren't just for the rich. In fact, I don't know how anybody on a low income manages to run an inefficient one.
I had a lot of choice in the low-emissions tax bracket, even buying second hand.
60mpg, low insurance and £30 pa tax. Especially the £30 pa tax. It feels like cheque *from* the government every time the bill arrives and it's not for £200.import this0 -
