Chuck into Slow Cooker cover with water, High for 2 hours, Low for 4 hours, take out bacon joint blend and allow to cool and set and I have 6 tubs of pease pudding and a great bacon joint to eat. I have read quite a lot of the replies (but not all so if this has been raised, sorry for repeating). I don't understand the need for blending :-) If you cook it properly and long enough no blending is needed. It sounds to me that you are starting with too little stock .. be generous and give it at least 2 hours to cook. The extra time really is worth it and the peas naturally mash when stirred :-)0
