I never had a reading week in my four years at Glasgow.

Reading weeks are an excuse to cut costs due to financial pressures. (As are semesters.)

I have to admit theres the OP complaining about too many lectures, I wish I had more (yes I know, self study and all that) but I have 4hrs on a Monday morning and thats it, 22 weeks of the year. I feel like I never see my uni or my lecturers, Id love a bit more class contact time - for structure if nothing else.
IMHO the OP should be grateful to be getting this contact time for your money - I feel like Im paying a damn fortune to never see anyone....

I know some are doing only 8 hrs ... but 4 on a full time course??

Which i don't think is very fair, as it means i am always going to have to choose weather to leave Spanish early, missing some of that class, or show up to the 1pm class later, again missing some of that class. Either way every week i am going to miss some class time.

I think the only fair way to do it is 1 week i leave Spanish early, the follwing week i stay in Spanish and show up a bit late to the 1pm class, and keep working like that really.

Think of it as training for the real world.................Life isn't fair-you know you've grown up the day you realize that :D
