I'm rather offended by that as I go there myself.... It could be UWS....
But still its the only place that does my course and it has an excellent rep for it.0 -

I read it the same way as Oldernotwiser. My immediate thought was "eh, we have plenty of language courses".
I think some students think it is all party, no lectures. My cousin went to Calley for a week before dropping out. I cannot remember how many classes he had but it was not that much and he claimed it was too much work. Been on JSA since then.0 -

Yes it has a few unique, good courses but apart from that it is not that great. And it's students  (over generalisation I know)
This might have been covered as I jumped from page 1 to page 5 - but OP, if you want a degree about languages why did you go to a uni which doesn't do languages?0 -

(And re: arts students not having a lot of lectures/contact time, yes that's true but we were still expected to put in 40 hours a week through reading texts - I read everything twice to get critical about it - research, writing essays etc, so we didn't exactly slack off! Or my friends and I didn't anyway...)
Oh the fun I had in halls trying to study when it was the arts/humanities faculties' "reading week". Yeah right.0 -

During reading week, everyone went home. I didn't get "reading week" - this did mean I could catch up on work.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
