    Totally agree with the sentiment here - he deserves a decent stretch for what he did.

    I do wonder if he'd have got that long if that fire extinguisher hadn't landed near the police though.

    seems to me a pretty stiff sentence bearing in mind he plead guilty, presumably no prior convictions and it was more spur of the moment lunacy rather than pre-meditated.

    You would get less in most cases for GBH.

    My daughter was somewhere down there at the bottom, taking part in the non-riotous part of the demo, so I'm happy with the sentence.

    I wonder if he'd have done it 'in the heat of the moment' if he knew his Mum was down there, somewhere? ;)
