Friend of a friend had this problem in the snow last year, she said it had been like it for about 3 days.....

I wonder what would happen if the bulb burnt out or became disconnected.............
Runs to cupboard and puts on tight fitting leather flame suit...........
It then fails because the ABS system isn't even showing it's pre ignition check.
The MOT testers are iirc meant to check that all indicators on the dash work precisely because people do try to hide faults by disconnecting the indicators on the dash.0 -

I can guarantee 100% it didn't fail in the MOT.0
