I wore a bright red suit for an interview once, the interviewer remembered who I was and commented that it was rare that anybody bothered to dress up so smartly! I got the job. Hope the OP has had good news.
  • Well.....I went with the black dress and jacket with some red accessories!

Interview went well I thought, I was in there for nearly and hour and a half and I had a tour of the offices and they will let me know within a week.

I need positive vibes off everyone please, I want to job even more know I've met them!
My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say ;)

  • Sounds positive. Whenever I interview candidates, if I think they are any good I will give them a quick guided tour. Sometimes, I might ask the team for feedback to see what they think.

    Good luck!

  • Tip for clothing for when YOU START YOUR NEW JOB.

Go round the charity shops. I have had some wonderful bargains, some for under £5.

How about a lovely Jaeger business suit in 100% grey wool - £4.

A very smart navy blue Principles dress - £5

A very smart double breasted suit in purple with black collar and buttons. Brand new. Never been worn. A snip at £8

Brand new Clarks court shoes. Never been worn £2

My wardrobe is full of charity shop bargains. You just have to hunt them out.

I once wore a red cashmere blazer, white shirt and grey slacks for a panel interview. I was given the big hint I had it an hour later and officially notified that afternoon.

Reminds me of the time I was traveling into town on the bus, when a former classmate got on. He was on his way to a job interview. His choice of suite was a 1960's purple number c/w massive bell-bottoms and wide lapels. I have never seen him since, so have no idea if he got the job or not, but it gave me a good laugh.

  • Well, I didn't get the job and I'm absolutely gutted. They informed me by email and TBH I haven't got the heart to ask for feedback as to why I didn't get the postion.

On a more positive note I had two telephone calls yesterday inviting me for interview for two positions I applied for last week.

So I need positive vibes again for tomorrow, one is at 10am and the other at 2pm.

    Starting to panic now
