Interview on Wednesday.....second opinion needed

Have interviewed lots of people for varying levels of jobs from manager to casual bar staff.
Might be a "boy" thing but I can't say I ever remember what anyone is wearing beyond whether they look smart and are appropriately addressed for the level of interview.
What I do have an excellent memory for however are those that perform very well (tend to employ those) and those that spout the BS.
So don't worry, either outfit sounds perfectly suitable.0 -

Make sure you check out their Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn page if they have them so you can namecheck them if required- more relevant as it's a young company.0

I would go for the brown. It's also a very professional sounding outfit, and it'll help you stand out a wee bit as EVERYONE wears black. Also if it is that dynamic and trendy, the standard boring black dress/skirt/white blouse/black jacket will make you look rather dull for them. It also always reminds me of waitresses etc. It's not a high status look any more, not to me. I much prefer to see a little bit of individuality along with professionalism. Of course, we don't choose people for their clothes, but it adds to the overall impression. 'I am a professional person' plus 'but I am not a clone' is good. (saying that I practically live in black trousers all week, but do ring the changes on my top half!)Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.
Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0 -
The black sounds nice, so long as it's not too short. As someone else said, so long as you are smart, clean and tidy, your interview outfit will rarely be remembered - although the exception to this is when people come in with very short skirts/low see-thru tops and makeup put on with a trowel! :rotfl:
Although remembered in not the way you would want to be remembered.....!!!0 -

I'm accessorising my sling atm: I have a couple of hair slides, one is just a pink flower, just over 1" across, the other is a very bold pink feather and glitter affair! I can see me continuing to wear them when the sling is gone ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Good luck for tomorrowLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0

I do not believe that you are going to be turned down for the job based on which of the 2 outfits you are going to wear.
The interviewer is going to be more concerned about how you are going to perform, your answers to the relevent questions and what you will bring to the company.
However like everyone else has said, Good Luck0 -
Plain and black is better. You want to be remembered by the interviewer as someone who is competent, answered questions and a personality. you DO NOT want to be remembered as the person who wore that outfit for that interview.0

How did the interview go?
