We recently signed up to option 3 on bt total broadband (8mb max speed, 40gb per month usage... and today when we recieved a 'fair usage policy' email stating that we'd exceeded our monthly limit of 2mb!! Great... another reason for me to call BT on monday and have a moan.. they've caused us nothing but problems recently and I'm seriously considering sending a complaint letter!!! ARGH! Why can't anything ever be simple???

I left BT 3 years ago. They was unreliable and very expensive and the bill was difficult to read. I went with Onetel and saved over £150 a quarter plus I got free phone calls 24/7. If I was you, I would shop around there are better offers.
You can see how bad BT are by looking at their phone book but that many people have left them it is only a fraction of the size.0 -
... that or people are going ex-directory....0

so you know the cap...exceeded it but somehow it's BT's fault ????

if you "download" a lot of music , films etc surely should have found a supplier that has no cap !Ex forum ambassador

the OP says that they received an email for using more than 2mb as opposed to 40gb package they are on... even if the OP did do a typo 2gb is still a bit short of the 40GB package that they are meant to be on . . .0

Had shocking customer service from BT recently when we moved and after 3.5 weeks they still couldn't provide our broadband, they are totally incompetant.0
