A guess - mine was ported from BT. I know that the first three digits of the actual number tie down the area a little (to the exchange?) so maybe that's it.

It doesn't work for me.tells me I can get BE or BT,Not O2 what I'm on or Sky,which someone near me is on.(Wireless picks up their network)
