  • 1) 10 years ago before I had a house I bought a car on finance... big big big big big big massive huge mistake!!!

    2) Many gym memberships.... Instead I run around the park and bought a multigym off ebay and put it in the garage.

    3) DVD's - watch em once, what is the point.

    4) Driving when I can walk into town. Lazy.

    5) Shopping at the big chain supermarkets... have a look at what you pay for meat, fruit and veg. Markets are far superior and cost far less. Get the rest from netto !!!
  • Mine are Interest only Mortgage..Bought when young and green on the first rung of the property ladder
Home gym Equipment...Why do I do this?? Treadmill,Trampolinex2,Stepper,exercise bike.. hardly used due to being a lazy toad.
Sometimes I think there should be an amnesty for old home gym kit ,as nearly every house we viewed last year before moving had at least one item being used as a clothes hanger!

About 20 yrs ago when I was young and foolish I bought a pimped up van with alloy wheels and a personal no.plate - about 2 grand total at the time. It was just a heap of junk madeover to look good. When I sold it a year later at auction somebody pinched the alloy wheels so it went thru on bricks and got sfa. Mind you, I did manage to pull one bird in it once, so.......every cloud!:D:p

    7. Takeaways - Is a pizza really worth £15?
    !

Definitely not ! Bung a slice of bread under the grill, toast one side and on the other side bung on cheese, tomatoes, chopped onion, salami slices, or whatever else you fancy.
Cooked in minutes. Cost under £1 per person.

£15:eek: I honestly don't think I've ever paid more than £7 or £8 for a pizza, either in a restaurant, takeaway, chip shop or supermarket! And I probably eat some form of pizza every week or two. What are you doing; buying the largest size and adding every single topping available?!:rotfl:

Only other reason I can think of is that you're going to Dominos, who seem to charge double the price of their (deeply average tasting) pizzzas over all the competition, and still get custom  I really don't get why people go to Domino's .... it's not as if you're paying a premium for a better product.

Dominos delivered usually costs £9.99 - £15. Dominos is the best for pizza until I decided to start making my own and saving a bundle. Plus they taste so much better!!
:) Thanks to all who post comps! :)

Bottled water. I once bought a bottle. Not the biggest (most expensive) waste, but certainly the biggest waste!

The 80s/90s marketing that started the trend for bottled water was the most successful and amazing con-trick ever. And still it continues. Watching mum's load up their supermarket trollies with litres of the stuff just amazes me.

Coca-cola's disastrous entry into the market summed it up. They put tap water into bottles and sold it. Unfortunately for them they managed to adulterate it in the process so had to withdraw from the market!
