Oh, I'm a geek, Primrose! Rest assured that I still have access to all my music, either on CD or on my computer. All the rare stuff I copied from vinyl; my favourite albums I bought (again!) on CD.

After all the money I've put in record executives' pockets over the years, I don't feel overly guilty about some stuff I've "acquired" by - shall we say "questionable"? - means!
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.

  • Driving lessons with my old instructor. He never allowed me to progress and made me feel very insecure about driving and ever passing. I spent about £600 with him and didn't even get to do roundabouts. My dad bought me a car and the weekend later, I was doing everything with him and even things my instructor didn't teach me. My dad gives me lessons now and I'm going to find someone to give me a final 1/2 before my test.

Also £150 coat that I didn't really like in the end and only wore once...

Starting to smoke - god only knows how much I have wasted - and regretted - over 30 plus years....
  • Alcohol
Tour merchandise at concerts - not kept most of it
Updating pagers and mobile phones ALL the time as a kid
Clothes, shoes, accessories, makeup and skincare never used
    Food never eaten
    Magazines
    Books never read
    Eating out too often
Paying rent on somewhere I wasn't living as I was stuck in a contract; total cost about £4,000.

    I'm sure there are others.

Joining Weightwatchers, slimming world and rosemary conley (not all at the same time :o) and still not losing the extra weight :(.

Booking a holiday, paying the deposit then realising 2 months later we couldn't go due to my husbands new job :(.

All the mobile phones I've bought and hated then sold on, my family constantly ask if it's another new phone I have now :o.

Sky tv, I can never find anything to watch, although BT vision was worse!

Toys for the children that are broken within a few weeks (If we're lucky!).

I'm sure there are loads more!

I was wondering when someone would mention these two...
One of our worst things is pay per view films on sky.
  • I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned divorce yet...

Thats because the divorce wasn't a waste of money (although I could have made it cheaper.) It was getting married in the first place that was the waste of money.

My most recent one was buying a bottle of Eyesential, it didn't suit my skin and I had a horrible reaction - sore and red skin, so that was a complete waste of money :( I only used it once!!! grrrrrrr
  • Buying an expensive secondhand camera in a shop because it looked lonely and neglected and I thought I would give it a good home.

Actually I've done this more than once although most have been cheap.
  • Buying a new motorcycle, rather than fixing the one I already had.

It would have cost me about 2500 to completely fix up the one I had. Instead, I put 2000 down on a new one at 0% finance, ran it for about six months, fixed the other one anyway, left the new one in the garage and then sold it for half what I'd paid for it.

    Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
